Randall has always looked lost and uninspired when he has played. I can certainly understand the mental aspect of the game and I think that has played a big role in his lack of production on the field. This seems to be the first time he has had a full spring and fall with no setbacks so hopefully this pays huge dividends. I think he will have a very solid season.

Randall has the talent and size/physique to be an NFL receiver, it's frustrating because we've never seen any of that translate to actual field production. Hopefully this is the year. We need that alpha dog to step up and be that security blanket for Cade if we want the offense to take that next step.

I fully agree with you, it is absolutely frustrating. However, I think the mental and health aspect has majorly affected his game as I stated in my other post. He was fantastic in highschool and I fully believe if he gets in the right headspace and finds his groove he will be hard to stop.
As you said, he has all the tangibles and measurements a WR needs at this level. I believe if he stays healthy and gains his confidence he has the ability to put up big numbers and be a reliable target for Cade. Sounds like they have put in a lot of extra work outside of normal camp and practice this offseason, so time will tell.

If any of those skill guys only practice with the time that's allotted for coaches to be on the field them, chances are they will fail to accomplish the things they want to accomplish. But if they go ou on the field and put in that extra work needed, I think that extra work is what will pay off for the end game. Anything worth accomplishing has to be worth putting in the added work to claim it...

I just went to the 3 main tshirt places downtown yesterday looking for this shirt. No luck. Hey Adam, make the shirt available! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants one 🙂

If Adam Randall is the reason Clemson approaches the top 10 of current "WRU's" I'll eat everyone's hat.
Get a step above useless and then maybe take any interview.

On a personal level, you will not find a better more high quality kid than Adam. I've wondered if he may have fallen a little into the Rendrick Taylor trap of being too bulked up. Watching the kid play against high level competition in H.S., his fluidity and range of motion are nowhere near where they were when he signed. He had a fairly serious injury Sr. year of H.S. and then the ACL injury his first year. Not sure if it was the stiffness coming off the injury or being too bulky but he definitely moved stiff and tentatively. There were a few flashes in the bowl game and towards the end of the year. I hope he can build some positive momentum this year.

It's mental!
I played college b-ball(small college but still college ball). And, had a significant injury I had to come back from.
The mental aspect of it; is what most people are likely missing when it comes to Adam Randall or many other players.
You suddenly have it in your brain-housing "somewhere that I could possibly get hurt again doing this activity"! This is something; growing up and until that point, "you never played with and never even considered"! But, now it's there like an unwanted guest on a Saturday night after you have just had a date agree to spend the night. It's hard to look past and ignore.
Some players can and it doesn't bother them. Others take time to compartmentalize the possibility of reinjuring the body part or another one all-together. One of my favorite Panthers players of all time: Luke Kuechly - basically said, "once he started considering getting hurt namely a concussion; it was the begining of the end of his time in the league"! The psyche of a player is HUGE.
Being able to have players in the right headspace sometimes is the difference between winning and losing as a whole. For an individual player - being able to "not be so lost in something they really can't control like getting injured in some freakish way" can be the difference between performing well or not. AR8 - I wish him the best! He seems super self-aware and on his way to big things whether in football or not. I hope it's in football. If I was someone AR8 listened to( I am not sadly). I would advise him to go out and play the game the way he knows how to play it. If you are going to get hurt, it's going to happen anyway. Most of us have heard of people getting hurt in non-super athletic ways. I've heard of someone blowing a knee out going grocery shopping. Or chasing their Dog down in the park. It's just something you can't control. So, while you are young, go for what you know and have fun.

I thought WRU had been retired since we have had almost no receivers drafted the past few year. Hopefully, the guys in the WR room this year will change that.

Sad to hear that this room has a WRU shirt even if it says prove it alongside it. They have killed the program as bad if not worse than the QB position. The WR group needs to be a net positive before they cosplay our great teams of yesteryear…

Randall has not produced due to injuries or talent level. Williams, Brown, Wesco, Moore and Stellato may now have the inside track to WR p.t.
Hopefully, Randall finds his mojo this year. Would be great to have the Randall that was so promising in the Summer of 2022 show up in 2024.

Nailed it. And having WR's fighting/competing for playing time sounds like a good problem to have. It's when the guys stop trying to work their way up that really hurts.

Honestly, like DJ with the Beats headphones and his stupid little saying, I'm getting kinda tired of all these little gimmick type things. Can we just go play football? Like a dumb turnover chain, we are getting excited about t-shirts. Get excited about actually producing in your third/fourth year (can't remember) with an NFL body. I'd be embarrassed if I had Randall's number next to guys like stellato Williams brown and Turner. Just go produce and hush. Everything has to have some kind of swag or outward projection. Where's the internally motivated guys? Peter woods doesn't need t-shirts to rip heads off. Sorry, haven't had my coffee yet and not really excited about work today. Lol

Let us not forget the Samson-like strength he gained from slurping smoothies mid-interview or tugging on that ol ratty wavecap.

I think Adam has a lot of talent and upside. A lot. I just want to see that translate into onfield production this year. Pulling for the kid, I really am.
