Sometimes faith and believing isn't enough. You need the Jimmies and Joes, as well as the coaching to be elite. If not you end up like Minnesota.

You need some Blind Luck, that is what got our Tigers in the ACC title game, L U C K! ! ! Miami was 10-1 headed into Syracuse and Syracuse was 8-3. If Miami wins the game it was expected, if Syracuse wins it's an upset. We got into the ACC championship game bc Syracuse upset Miami!!!

And Miami only would have gotten in because Louisville upset Clemson. It goes both ways people. Why can't Clemson fans get it thru their heads that 7-1 is better than 6-2 and that's why Clemson went to the ACC Championship instead of well they only made it in because a 9-3 Syracuse beat a 10-2 Miami! There will not be an inscription on the ACC Championship trophy saying oh and Clemson only won the ACC because Miami lost to Syracuse!?!?!? Get over it people Clemson is the ACC Champion🏆💪

Sad thing is that Dabo continues to cash that $1M a game paycheck but hasn't come to realize that money controls college football... it's ain't faith, graduation rates, family...
If he wants to focus on graduation rates... let him become a guidance counselor...
He's paid $11M to win national championships... THAT'S IT.

He also has a life mission to permanently impact young men, their marriages and children, for generations.
That's quite a life mission.
And he is accomplishing it.
Our fans don't have to agree with it, but I wish they would at least comprehend.

I love the “sound” of this, but where is the proof?
Are we looking solely at graduation rates? If so that’s a great start but let’s hold off on “marriages and “generational impact “.
Also, unlike “Bobby Bowden”, one of his self proclaimed mentors, Dabo shies away from kids with questionable past. He prefers those with strong parental influence, which alienates him from a large population of athletes in poverty. This is also the reason he casts a wide net and forgoes much of the home grown (SC) talent.

I don’t know. Ask any of the hundreds of young men who have come through the program.
You strike me as someone who just loves to find something to criticize. Some people can’t be pleased with anything.

That's a good point CU that I had never thought about. Dabo does avoid any recruits with a questionable past. I understand that Clemson doesn't want to be uga but, helping some these young guys that don't have a perfect family and past would benefit both the athlete and the program.

The Business end and Personal end go hand in hand in College Football. As we have migrated toward the semi-pro end of business it now tilts the scales toward if a persons job doesn’t show results what decisions do you make. Unfortunately I’ve been there on a smaller scale but the understanding is you can’t make everyone pleased all the time. Being in charge sometimes means difficult decisions. I don’t envy Dabo in this position as he continues to navigate what is best for Clemson Tiger football. As to looking forward to 2025…GO TIGERS

Spurrier said “Why not us?” when he was introduced as the Gamecock head coach.

It started way before Spurrier. NC State used it in 1983. And then went on to win the championship. Jimmy V may have borrowed himself.

Can't speak for the other poster, but no I wasn't. I was referring to the phrase the other poster attributed to Spurrier. I just remember Jimmy V using it in 83. Way before Spurrier at SC.

You need jimmy and Joe’s and excellent coaching…not just belief! Our coaching was bad this year…we didn’t beat one team w a pulse, got beat by all 3 sec teams and lost to the coots again this year! Not to mention our incoming recruiting class is weak at best! Nice job dabo!
