I can see your thoughts on the 2 losses but I disagree they lose them both. I for one believe Georgia has set up perfectly for Clemson in the first game. Especially considering they are struggling with depth and injuries. I think this game actually gets away from Georgia in the second half and Clemson wins easily. As far as VTech it's the one game that I really believe Clemson has to play a B+ or A- game at the worst to win! I believe they will, but they certainly will lose if they don't. Be prepared after game 1 to see a lot of people have to scramble to explain how Dabo Swinney is not washed up yet! Gonna be Epic!

I really like the way you think! I, truthfully, don’t know what to expect. I’m very optimistic that we now have an OL coach who really knows how to help our guys move to a championship level. It may be a little early, yet, but I think Spring and Fall Camp have brought about major positive changes. We all find out soon, but my money is on our OL becoming a real strength.

It not overconfidence in Clemson, I just think they're going to have to ground and pound teams. I think Miami has more upside and VT has a better path. NCSU is good too. Then there's still Clemson. FSU is no lock for a championship game.

They weren't that good last year either

They should've lost at Clemson. Yeah they had guys out for the bowl game, but 63-3? Now, they swap out Jordan Travis for DJ? Yeah, I'm with you.

I was told the same thing when I predicted Clemson to lose to NC State last year.

Can you fully explain this one?
NC St isn't much of a stretch to pick when they have good talent. They have tended to be the sleeper thorn in the side of Clemson or FSU several times in the last decade.
VT though? I'm not getting that one. You think Louisville will be a win for Clemson....but VT a loss? VT lost to Louisville 34-3 last year. Also lost to Marshall. They WERE one of those weak teams you mentioned Louisville benefited from. You think Louisville will drop that far and VT will improve that much that it flip flops? Curious why...doesn't make much sense to me just off this write up.

VT didn’t start the season with Drones at QB. Eventually they went to him full-time and he eventually settled in. By the second half of the season, he was fantastic. He is back along with the entire offensive line plus a transfer OL they won.
They added Ali Jennings from the portal who was a guy I really wanted and wrote a TNet article about. He got hurt early but is back. So you’ve now got a top QB, top OL, a go-to WR, and a soft schedule to build momentum. 9-3 seems very possible.

The only problem I see with your predictions is the championship game. If Tech beats us and they only had one loss coming into that game we want make the championship game to play Miami because tech is not getting beat by Duke or Va. They will have the tiebreaker over us.

Yes, it is possible the ACCCG in that scenario would be VT/Miami. I’m also not counting on my picks being exactly perfect.

Before the season begins still see the Tigers finish at 12-0. Naturally we will see when the dust settles. Besides, this year one word goal is “FINISH”. I gotta believe Tiger will “FINISH” every play, every game. GO TIGERS

Like I said in a post yesterday, win or lose in Atlanta Aug 31st, the only other game that I see on our schedule we could have a hiccup in, it could be our game @ VT especially if it's a night game bc VT can be a really hard team to beat in a night game in Lane Stadium. Possible loss to Georgia in game One, and a possible loss to VT in Lane Stadium if it's a night game...

Clemson will play SMU in ACC Championship Game. Since ACC screwing SMU in revenue when those teams top 2. ACC needs to move game to Cotton Bowl to set attendance record and being funds to SMU.

I'd like to thank FSU for leaving the door open
Not that they needed it but it should give Dabo and the tigers a shot in the arm.
