I’m very excited to watch this team. Last year at times we actually played better without PJ in the lineup. Will definitely miss his energy and leadership.

His efforts to prove his “NBA skills” really hurt the team on offense in 2 ways: jacking up 3s early in the half court set & that leaving the post short handed inside. He scored a lot of “ugly junk points”, but from the few clips I have seen so far, the new guys seem to be more fluid and agile to flow with the guards. My only concern for this team is if Chase tries to do too much on his own & not getting his teammates involved.

Yes..... Our offense was better when our 7th all time leading scorer at clemson was on the bench. Can always count on coach mac for a solid coaching take.

I have seen some dumb things takes on TNet but that about takes the cake. Without out 7th all time leading scorer we don’t make the ELite 8, we don’t have some of the players he helped bring here. That kid helped bring us back relevance despite some of the coaching

I think the starting lineup last night is the starting lineup we open up with.

Heightened expectations is rare air around the Hoops program.

Hoping we can deliver this time around on that enthusiasm. Turning that corner could really set us up for a truly prosperous future here.

Go Tigers! Go Brad!

We are way past the corner as the fifth winningest program in the conference since LJ was rebuilt and we turned on the NIL spigot.

#5 in the ACC is an excellent stretch for Clemson basketball over a span like that, no doubt. After our 2nd year in LJ with the Sweet 16 run, we had a very similar attention and expectation level that we're experiencing now. Were we to simply meet these elevated expectations this season it would be a significant achievement and could really set things on fire here for some time to come.

Brad is nearly the Dean of the ACC in basketball coaching ranks today. He's weathered a bunch of storms along the way, and good for him, and us, for still standing. For real. Being on the national radar like we are now after last season's run, delivering a solid follow-up season along these higher expectations would only lift this program that much higher.

We got it rolling now. Recruiting and interest is way up. Some of the kids looking at our program wouldn't have given us a 2nd thought 4-5 years ago. Who knows how deep a run we'll make, great teams get upset all the time. But we're capable of making a deep run. Talent and depth is there. Exciting stuff and I really believe this is our year for the acc championship barrier.

I have always wondered what the expectations were for Clemson basketball. I’ve always felt like it should be a minimum of an NCAA appearance every other season. We’ve never really met that expectation. Is that where we are now? Or, do we expect an NCAA appearance every year? Just food for thought, not a criticism of Brad or anything he’s done. I’m truly curious about what is the expectation for Clemson basketball at this point?

Mine are top 20 every year and playoff every year. Simple and achievable.

Class of ‘71. Went through “rat season” and glad I did.

We have been to the tourney 3 of the past 7 years, and should he a tourney team this year. Also in the last 7 years, we were robbed of at least 1 invite. Had 2 bubble teams.

I just hope that Ian does not put too much pressure on himself to perform according to fans expectations and just plays his solid maximum effort game. The points and rebounds will come if he just lets the game come to him, like he has done the past few years. One of my favorite all-time players.

Well said and couldn't agree more.

If he does put too much on himself, he'll be riding the pine in foul trouble a lot. It's easy to do in basketball imo. Especially with the energy and passion that he plays with.
