BV and TE

A question for the bored: Does anyone think that after a disappointing season (s) Dabo tried to reinvigorate the program by easing out BV and TE?

Absolutely not. UVA is a great school and Oklahoma is Oklahoma so the choices were no brainers for Tony and Brent.

BV was definitely a major loss Dabo did not want to happen. I think Dabo was fine with Tony leaving.

Considering the Tigers got their clock cleaned the 2 previous times we’d played anybody with a pulse, LSU,OSU & how poorly last year started. I think CDS was more than ready to part ways with both. BV was gonna get torched by anyone who played tempo with a talented qb & TE couldn’t scheme anybody open. It was time.

Can’t say I’ve ever called anyone a coot but even so I’m not sure this warrants that
Nope, I just think if JK wants to be respected on his basketball posts (he does make some good points) he should give that same respect back

I get your point but you let past comments cloud your "Judge"ment on this one. JK is right. I don't think Dabo had a problem with either coach and therefore he didn't feel like he had any issues that needed to be dealt with.

This^. Dabo always speaks about how debilitating the injuries were for the team. The defense had a good year and was the primary reason the Tigers won 10 games. Not once have I seen Dabo explain that the offense needed any revamp. Instead, he just says this is what we do and it’s a great opportunity for Streeter and Richardson to continue to do what Clemson does.

How is it negative to say that Dabo didn’t feel that anything was wrong?

Do you have any proof that Dabo felt that the coaching staff underachieved last year?
The only thing I remember Dabo saying about last year is that we had a lot of injuries and that he thought it was amazing we went on the winning streak at the end.

BV…No…TE…maybe. If not I’m sure Dabo was very adamant and encouraging of TE to take the UVA job…
Looks it’s no coincidence that DJU and this offense is 300x better without TE calling plays…The tight ends, both of whom were on this roster last season, have had a huge impact after being underutilized for the last 3 seasons….

believe Dabo entertained any such thoughts.
He, more than likely, has always realized that any of his assistants could move on, if the right opportunity arose. However, I imagine he was as upset, as most of us were, when the Oklahoma job opened and BV's name was Numero Uno; i.e. it was just too good for BV to pass.

Easing out is too strong.

I think Dabo was their chief adviser next, most likely, to their families and God. Imo, Dabo's advise was much conditioned and not aggressive but with much consideration to their goals, families and benefit.
If that's the definition of 'easing out,' then yes but it's not mine particularly.
