Clemson players each year and replace them with HS seniors?
He will lose just by having physically underdeveloped players.
Use the freaking portal. What am I missing? There are tons of great kids that transfer.

Do you understand they are what 13 or 14 scholarship players short now? What should Dabo do running with numbers like a team on severe probation? I’m a little freaked out about it and I don’t know what can be done to fix this. Do you have any ideas or is pretending real problems are a silly thing to discuss is the answer? It looks like he has managed this into a serious rebuild job to me. Didn’t have to happen!

10 years ago, if a coach was down 13 scholarships; we would just say he was loading up for a National Championship 3 years down the road.

Panic. This happens every time a good team loses a good coach. Anyone that leaves on their own knows their playing time is greatly diminished. Dabo can find players who want to be here and fits his mold . Take a couple of extra strength Tylenol and relax

Kendrick was his off of the field issues. The way he acted when Dabo ran out of the tunnel in the Ga game turned me big time on that kid. There was some obvious hurt feelings.

I trust dabo, however, he needs to use the portal....he knows he needs to use the portal...he will either use it and get with the times or he will be left behind.
I love dabo...he is amazing...no one I'd better...he is a incredible coach...
But let's not act like great coaches haven't been reduced to mediocre before because they refused to adjust to the times....
I saw it happen to legends in my time.....
You have to adjust....you have to adapt
I.have faith that dabo will adjust to the times.....but if he doesn't and keeps up the "business as usual, we won this way before, we will do it again attitude" he will get left behind..
But I have faith dabo will see where he needs to adjust, and he will do what needs to be done

I swear people refuse to pay attention. This is why this country is the way it is because people believe what they want. Dabo HAS CHANGED HIS PHILOSOPHY. He literally took Danny Pearman off the field and put him in charge of scouting the portal. He literally did this during the last off season so I imagine you are going to see Clemson add some transfers during this years signing days. You do know it isn't as easy as losing a guy to the transfer portal and immediately grabbing someone from the transfer portal right? We have no idea who Clemson has targeted in the portal but this whole LIE that Dabo refuses to change is something a dingbat still believes.

4/5ths of the guys in the portal didnt see the field and have 1 year left of eligibility and you want them here. They had plenty of chances and just need a less talented roster and less competition to gain field time. Geez.

Kids who come here want to play, just like they do at every other school... when they can't get in the rotation they want to go where they will...
There may be some kids that want to leave due to coaching changes that may be worth looking at... I think the staff will vet them and we shall see...

The only thing I'm worried about is teams buying our players. I also can't argue with having a team full of experienced players. Wake use to redshirt everyone and competed well with 2 and 3 star players. Cincinatti is in the playoffs and their team is full of 2 and 3 star players. All their starters except 2 are all grad, seniors or jrs.

The cinny starting RB is a transfer from bama. All 4 teams in the playoffs have used the portal. Saben just picked up the kid from GA tech the other day. He was 3rd in FBS in total yards.
We need to get started and at least bring some of these guys to campus.

Two of our guys just signed at South Fla. There were high expectations for at least one of them here but neither could get quality playing time here. I can’t blame them for wanting to play, they were both Friday night heros. Now they’ve gravitated to their own level and I wish the best for them.
Bo Nix is a splashy name in the portal now and someone will take a chance on him, probably running a talented underclassman to the portal. Do you want that to be us? Spend many hours evaluating HS talent just to bring a grad in to plop in front of him just as he is ready to make a contribution.
Some on here point to the limited individual successes of the hundreds that have chosen the portal route. How many of those hundreds were never heard from again? We’ve had freshmen beat out upperclassman who portaled and the experts on here berated the coaches for letting that happen.
I’m pretty satisfied with how things are going. Heck, I was around for Hootie. Remember him?
