The incentive should be attendance

Half of these ACC schools have pathetic fan bases and turnout. The schools that care more should get more.

So you're saying winning has nothing to do with attendance? LOL

Duke and wake forest finished last and next to last in attendance last year. They had a combined 17-9 record.

Virginia tech finished 3rd. They went 3-8

Attendance does not win games and does not put anything into the ACC bank account.

I’d bet it correlates to the TV deals they negotiate

That seems to be the primary source of revenue.

The horse has been beaten that each conference’s bottom feeders in revenue sports seem to all compete poorly at about the same rate.

It doesn't matter either way....

Even if we went to the CFP and NCAAs every year, the disparity would still be enormous and would most likely further increase as time goes on.

We would NEVER catch up....and Clemson KNOWS this. Recruiting will suffer greatly. The ACC wants us to accept less, KNOWING it doesn't solve the REAL issue, just to save their hide. Neff has it right...we look out for Clemson first and foremost.

The problem is, the ACC's stated goal is to "remain third" in per school revenues. That isn't going to cut it. Something has to give.
