.... my father was a conjoined twin. His brother was my uncle on my father's side.
It's OK. They were surgically separated. Now he's my uncle once removed.

The guy that is supposed to sing cannot sing. The show is weird at best. It is not a show for halftime at a football game. Maybe a coffee shop somewhere in California.

No. Tiger Band does each regular show (other than military appreciation show, of course) 2 times. Once facing the south stands and once facing the north stands.

with the rapper? lol. It was rather...uh...odd. From where I was sitting you couldn't even really hear what he was saying either yesterday or two weeks ago. They didn't do a good job planning the vocal amplification on that one.

As a former Tiger Band guy (officer even) from WAY back and a season ticket holder for over 40 years, yes, I care to review this Saturday’s show (and two weeks ago).

Come on Tiger Band, you can do better!
As a matter of fact, I’ve never left my seat at halftime until Tiger Band finished their show, unless of course I am marching with the alumni band. That all changed Saturday…headed to concessions soon as I realized it was the same wonky show as Stanford weekend.
I know how hard those kids work and the sacrifices made to be Tiger Band. I imagine most of those kids probably weren’t real excited to do that show. They’ve got more to show than that type of performance.

which relates to very few people. Nothing wrong with attempting artsy stuff like that in the right arena, like at the Brooks center on a wednesday night or something but not in front of 80,000 people at a football game.

On our trip home from the game this weekend this is one of the points that me and my father discussed for a few minutes. First off, I am a Tiger Band alum, I dont want to say that I have never left halftime, but I do try to make a point to watch the band. I also have kept my parking out at Brooks Center because I like to catch the band practice if I am able to get up to Clemson quick enough. I say this because I do watch and cheer for the band when they perform. Its a part of the college football game experience that I love.
That said, when I saw this was going to be the halftime show again (I saw it during Stanford game), I headed to the concession stand to get my family drinks, etc. I was not very into it the first time I saw it, and was ok with skipping it. Like you said, I think there is a time and a place for this type of performance. But agree that this was not a show for half time at a football game. First rule of public speaking to me is, know the setting and your audience. If the goal of the show was information/ enlightenment, I just dont think the audience in that moment are ready to be fully receptive to what you are trying to say. So you dont get your message across, which then leads to, what was the point. Have to remember this is a football game atmosphere.
Both my dad and I thought it was a lost opportunity for Tiger Band to be "All In" with the theme of the weekend, which was Breast Cancer awareness.. I think music like "Dont Stop Believing", or from other Artist that have made contributions to fight this crap disease would have been more in line again with the theme that Clemson had chosen to amplify this past weekend.
Anyway, I hope the kid passed his class/ project, but time to move on to another show!

Don’t get me started. What a ****show! It just fits with college football at this time. If I was in the administration at Clemson, I’d have to keep a sharp eye out for this “student” that produced this noise. He’s the type that would start something after the protest they have.

Saturday was the first time that after the first few minutes of the show I said “nope” and decided to wait in line to take a leak. When I got back to my seats, my buddy ensured me that I’d made the right choice lol. Hoping for something different in a couple weeks that people actually know.
