Serious question about our chicken friends in Columbia. Please give me

an unbiased answer to this question. Do you think they will better next year or worse? Daptula thinks they wii be better but others point out all the players they lost. Secondly, and I promise I am being unbiased and open minded about this. Their QB Sellers committed to Syracuse his senior year. Neither Clemson or SC heavily recruited him. However, late in the recruiting calendar SC convinced him to decommitt and come to SC. He had a good year last fall, but, is he really as great as he is now being hyped as? I guess this fall will tell.

Offensively I think they take a small step forward. Defensively I think they take a couple small steps back. They'll be 8-4 or 7-5. Their schedule isn't that challenging this year like they want to make it out to be but they always choke some games away or lose one they shouldn't have. It's in that Chicken Curse DNA of theirs.

I hope they suck of course like I always do, but as long as we kick their a$$ in Cootlumbia I'm fine with whatever. I say anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3.

I think they lost a lot of talent. Could have up to 11 drafted, most off defense. Sellers is a great runner and good passer. I think they will be ok but not great. A couple of key injuries and they may be below.500. Depth could be an issue.

I think Seller's passing game will be improved and we know what he can do with his legs. Their defense looks vulnerable. I'm pretty sure their kicking game may be a little suspect for a change. I'll predict 8-4. I think their program is on the rise. Most of all, I hope I'm vastly wrong about that last sentence.

Their QB will look really good if their o-line is better this year. He walked all over us, or ran, with a O- line that was very average. Illinois actually had a gameplan designed to make him more of a passer, which blows my mind why that wasn’t our gameplan.
Defensively, they should be average , to slightly above average. Haven’t looked at their schedule, but I’d be shocked if it’s any tougher than last year.
Shane has done a good job of using the portal and recruits decent. He can absolutely be their version Dabo if he can consistently play above.500 ball every year. Their standards and goals are just different than ours, they’ll build statues for you down there if go 8-4 every year.
And for some reason, we seem to be interested in helping them out as much as possible when we play them here lately. For all the great Dabo has done here at Clemson , some of his biggest head scratchers have come against South Carolina, so I fully expect it to be fairly close game again this year.

Honestly better. I hate to say it. Goes against science. But the Dabo wanna be recruited his arsenal off. Portal especially.

I think they’ll be a tough out for a lot of teams. I would predict 8-4.

Considering that they played against a Clemson defense that gave up 300 plus yards to the Citadel last season, I believe they’re in for a big surprise this year in Willie B. Clemson’s defense is probably going to be 2018ish this season and Sellars will be running for his life in the backfield all night long.

I can’t believe we blew the last two at home to them. Watching him running crazy around and through our defense is sickening. I was at both games and left shocked that we seemed to give the games away. Maybe this year we can get our momentum back. When we beat them at WB tie years ago we didn’t even score an offensive TD. The last three years have not been kind to us eith the dirt peckers.

Their QB had one of his best games against us last year. I don’t think he is as good as we made him look and they lost a lot of players. Without seeing their schedule, I would guess 7-5 +/- 1.

Please remember when evaluating your answers to this Poast. They are Gamecocks! They do what chickens do. They always have and they always will. Will they be better? Probably. Will they find ways to lose and be losers? Absolutely!

I wish we pushed harder in recruiting him. He really is a good player and was not on anybodys radar. In reagrds to USC I think they wont do as good this year. They are getting a lot of premature hype. They have some solid players and I think beamer isnt a bad coach but they havent connected all the dots. They Still could use some more depth to compete for playoffs.
