To Bother Watching ... Or Not!?

According to the majority of the sports pundits, LSU will demolish Clemson in the CFP final. Perhaps the CFP Committee should just award the trophy to LSU! The offensive MVP to Burrow! And the defensive MVP to Delpit!
After all, Joe Burrow, the greatest college football QB of all time will complete 100% of his passes; adding at least another 8 TD passes to the 55 he already has; will lead his offense to a score every time it has the ball; and rack up at least 70 points! Even when he takes a break and hands the ball to one of his RB’s, they will gain a first down with every carry! It will be like Clemson’s nation-leading #1 Defense, the Defense that held Ohio State to less than half of its 50 points-per-game average in the semi-final game, is not even on the field!
On the other hand, under the “leadership” of non-Heisman candidate Trevor Lawrence, Lawrence will not complete a single pass to his receivers, but will complete at least two passes (pick 6 interceptions) to LSU’s Delpit; ETN will have -5 yards on 13 carries; the Clemson offense will go three-and-out on every possession; and Speiers will set a championship game record with 9 punts … for just a 24-yard average … and LSU’s special teams will return 2 of his punts for TD’s.
Final score: LSU – 98, Clemson – 0 !
With these incredibly low expectations, it will be much easier for most of us to watch the game.

and eat a couple beignets. (not at the same time, yuck)
If we can somehow score once, and maybe can make LSU punt once, now that would just be a happy bonus.

The spundits have to keep interest high. There may be some Clemson fatigue out there, so the geniuses have to assure the dumbash public that LSU is now the new darling and Coach O's team will slay the mighty Clemson monster tiger. Of course, will do them no good. Clemson secures it's place in college football lore.

Serious Question

Is this kind of post an extension of Dabo's tactics?
I completely get that your coach uses "disrespect" as a motivator. But is the fan base as bought in on the concept?
No serious football person thinks LSU is going to walk away with this easily. Lawrence is unbelievable, he has A list wide receivers, and he has a phenomenal back to open up the game. Everyone knows this.
Anyone who thinks they can really predict the outcome of this game is foolish.
If Lawrence shows up hot and the LSU defense is a little cold, Clemson could run away with it in the first quarter. If Lawrence is a little bit erratic (which he is very occasionally) in a throw against Stingley, and Delpit plays out of his mind with Divinity back at the rush and K'lavon playing well on the edge, Clemson could get shut out in the first quarter.
If Ice-Water-For-Blood Burrow shows up and his mind meld with Jefferson holds, and if CEH plays hot, they could blow you up for three touchdowns in the first quarter. Or they could fumble one and throw a pick and end it with a missed field goal and no points to show for it.
I pick LSU because I am a fan and biased. From a more true football perspective, I think Clemson played its first very physical game against OSU, and I think there are still some bruises healing from that one. LSU is at full health for the first time this season, and it has played some brutally tough games in the past.
That said, I think Brent Venables could be your edge. No one has figured out how to stop this LSU offense yet. But if anyone can, he can. His problem is that Burrow is incredibly gifted in reading defenses, even confusing packages. And you just can't cover six possible receivers and a running threat all at the same time.
Good luck, Clemson. Let's hope everyone stays healthy. Even if you lose this, you still have a great team. That said, can we please, please tone down the "Nobody respects Clemson" banter? It really and truly is hurting your brand.

If LSU plays 13 guys (6 receivers, a RB, a QB, and 5 OL) we are definitely screwed.

my manager and all, but as you may have seen yesterday I put LSU and Clemson through all of my patented algorithm simulators and they all came back with Clemson winning by 21+ points.
You should know that my simulators have correctly predicted the Clemson winner 29 games in a row, so they are the real real.
But don't get discouraged, even though LSU down there in soon-to-be lugubrious Lafayette Loserana is a total crapbox, 2nd place is still really good. I mean, think of how many programs across the country (including the Ohio State fighting nutnecklaces) would absolutely LOVE to be the 2nd best team in the country.
So good on y'all and enjoy it while it lasts, because after Joe Burro is gone, it's going to be tough for you to keep it going.

You copied and pasted all of this from last year and changed Alabama and Tua to LSU and Burrow. I thought it seemed familiar....

I don't religiously watch SEC Network like most in TigerNet

And maybe that is why I have the impression that pundit predictions are down the middle with maybe a slight lean towards Clemson.
Like, I said - this is my opinion without watching Finebaum and SEC Now like the rest.

I'm of the firm belief that all of these talking heads are like the Shock Jocks of the 80's. It's all about the ratings, IMO.

I'm with you - I thought the pundits I've seen/read were pretty well split on the matter. Same as the OSU game. Glad I don't watch the people that the OP watches - that would get old fast. And then I would have to watch Avengers:Endgame for the 24th time.
