Yes, the concept of “wrapping up” with both arms and pursuit angles seems to be lost on some, especially the defensive backs. The concept of effort was lost on at least one LB. These are basic concepts that should already be impressed upon players in elementary school.

This to me is the great unforgivable sin of the Goodwin era which must spell his demise. All they could do is qb run and that DA had no answer

Miami just fired their DC today...WHY? because he cost them the ACCCG. 21-0 lead vanished against Syracuse. He them gave up a game (loss) in their bowl game in OT. Miami had a good enough offense with Cam Ward to go undefeated, but because of a terrible DC they robbed themselves. Clemson should have NEVER gotten a playoff berth. They got lucky because UM had an atrocious defensive playcaller. I applause Mario Cristobal for firing his behind. If Dabo doesn't fire Goodwin, he has to be a lame brained Head Coach, and deserves to be gone from Clemson.

Correct. He is not a good passer.......but our DC at the time removed our best tackler from the game to "supposedly" help the pass defense????? Got it!

Illinois DC set up a great specific scheme for Sellers. They rushed in such a way to either keep him in the pocket or cause him to scramble to his left that affected his ability to throw since he is not a great passer anyway. Wes did the only scheme he has ever been taught that is the same for every team.
