Best game you've been to at W-B?

What game have you been to a W-B that you thought was our best?
As great as 63-17 was, mine is still "The Catch" between Fuller and Butler. Not only was that catch great, you had to be there to see what Cockk fans looks like when they think they've beaten us only for us to ###### victory away from them - it was priceless.

63-17, sitting in the student section none the less, still don't know how I got out of there without getting into a fight. Then went back to the dorms and had some serious fun, those fans are priceless...

2005 OBS against CTB and Charlie Whitehurst with "1st and thirty-five." The looks on all the chicken fans when we came back to win is something I will never forget!

First and 35 may have been in 2007, I was recovering from a near death experience and with all that happened I am not certain I could have attended the game, but then again I'd have to review the rivalry.
Either way Go Tigers!

Gaffney beat Sumter in overtime 27-24. I think Sumter had the Ford brothers that played for Clemson.

I was at the 1994 Florida Gators beating . Don't remember the score exactly , but it was something like 55-10ish . My good friend was an " electrical engineering " student at USuC at the time , and I lived there then . Watching he and all of his Dirtpecker clan choke that one down was hilarious . Coots scored first , then Spurrier just went off . They were just blasted . It was fun and gun , son !

My freshman year at Clemson in 1997. My first time in W-B and my first Clemson south Carolina game. 47-21 and we scored every which way. Tony Horne punt return, Edwards pick 6. It was a great night in Columbia!

The Catch was a great game, but I think...

The 1981 game was great. I was in the end zone with my dad. I had gotten a job my freshman semester at Clemson in the Athletic department passing tickets out to students and had gotten two tickets for the game. Visiting section tickets were in the endzone and it just so happened that Clemson marched down the field (maybe on the first possession) and scored in that end zone...
Field immediately got pelted with oranges (Probably to impress the Orange Bowl scouts).
So I am coming again this year to see if history repeats itself...a Clemson Tiger victory to finish undefeated and oranges pelting the field again...
Priceless memories...

Even better was the Coach Ford show the next day, when he was admonishing the fans about throwing the oranges. His quote was "you could put somebody's eye out with those" (or words to that effect). I spent days trying to figure out how a big fruit like that could put out an eye of a helmeted player.

This upcoming Saturday! A little foreshadowing. Was at 63-17 game and still think this year's game will be similar except score will be run up by second string offense.
Go Tigers!

It wasn't a Clemson game, but I went to the Roach to see FSU beat them 59-0.
An Army busy of mine was a Nole fan, so we took the road trip. We moved down to seats 2 rows up from the F$U cheerleaders. Hawt!!
This was back in '88 or so. Might have been a Metro Conference game.

I agree with some of the posters, 1989 was hard to beat. In addition to the beatdown, the Rolling Stones had their Steel Wheels Tour that year and offered to have a concert in Columbia at Wildly B. Idiot athletic director nixed the idea, saying "We can't have that sort of thing on our field, next thing you know someone will be wanting to have tractor pulls." Stones said "Okay, we'll go to Clemson." It was great watching the Tiger do the Mick Jagger strut in between touchdowns.
I went with my ex to the concert later. After the Stones opened with "Start Me Up!" Mick welcomed everyone to the concert, "even the ones from Columbia!"
