Earlier in the year we were blowing teams out so it wasn't as obvious. UGA gashed us but we wrote it off as it being the 1st game and it being UGA. The first real sign was against App St and NC St, but we were up so big we looked passed it and blamed it on the backups. The Lou game finally opened everyone's eyes. Then, the last 4 gms we gave up around 300yds to Citadel and TX each, over 250 to SCar, and over 150 to SMU (which would have been worse, but they had to abandoned the run because they got so far behind early). Nothing is more demoralizing than an inability to stop the run. It never got fixed and got progressively worse. That is why changes are needed staff-wise on the Defensive side if the ball.

We ended up giving up around 1000 yds rushing in those last 4 games. I don't ever remember a Clemson Defense doing that. Most of the damage came on the side opposite of TJ Parker. TX's RBs and Sellars feasted when running to the right. Clearly there was a problem with the play of that DE.
