As a kid growing up we would stop there on our way to the game every Saturday. I sure do miss that chicken. Anyone else eat there?

Yes, that was our Go-To stop for tailgate chicken also! Much better than the KFC across the street of course. They were always prepared for the game day crowd it seemed too.

my Dad came down with a bad case of food poisoning that he believed came from there. It turned him against the place and he never went back.
I never got sick, so my memories of the place--vague though they may be--are all positive.

Yer dang right! May have been the best fried gamecock east of the Mississippi. We always stopped there for their chicken, we brought our own pimento cheese and potato salad. Sad when it burned, the BI-LO chicken was a poor substitute!
