What does the state of Alabama have besides bama football?

Professional sports? No. Good economy? No. Cities you want to live in? No. Tourist attractions? No. Decent public restrooms? No. Not one reason to set foot in that crappy stage!

There is a Army and NASA complex here. It is a testing ground for the missiles at the Redstone Arsenal and Marshal Space Flight Center is still operational and supports the space station. A friend of mine works for international simulations. Almost every defense contractor has a large office in town.
It's extraordinarily relevant.

With a lot of wonderful natural attractions which are rare.

RTJ trail is arguably the best value (quality for the money) in the nation. Several years ago, my dad and I met in AL to golf the trail over a 4-5 day period. 36 holes a day, drive to the next spot, wake up and play 36 holes...
It was an amazing 5 days...then we left the state and went home. Enjoyed golfing in AL, then enjoyed leaving!

I've lived in Madison (North Alabama) for 11 years. I've raised my children here. We have outstanding schools, great weather (except for the occasional tornado) and very good local beer. I hate that you had a bad eating experience, but you'll have to trust us on the rest.

Last year Alabama was listed as providing the 2nd worst quality of life in the United States, secondly only to Mississippi.
Alabama accounts for the 5th lowest employment rate, 8th highest homicide rate and 10th lowest household disposable income rate in the nation. Low life expectancy, poor access to broadband internet services and high poverty rates are also cited in the ranking.
Sounds amazing.

I conducted a great deal of business across Alabama for
Jan 9, 2016, 5:37 AM

many years and have visited close relatives and friends there for as long as I can remember.
In fact a close relative from Mobile called me the other night about the game. His home is a Bama shrine, and as the conversation ensued, it quickly drifted to my next visit. He's the GM of one of the largest shrimp processing plants on the coast, knows how to cook up some wicked seafood dishes, and we always venture over to Biloxi for some casino action.
I suppose, if we try hard enough, we can find faults with every state, but I like Alabama; there are some mighty fine folks there, and a whole lot of Clemson people call it home.

Pretty sure no one is serious, it's a fansite if you can't poke fun when you're about to play a team where can you. No one is coming here for advise on whether to move to Alabama or not. We are South Carolinians; no one could be throwing any stones from here. I mean for Gods sake we have coots as neighbors about as worse as it gets; would love for that to be war eagles.
But I will say our state does void first cousin marriages, while bama they're legit. ??

This is such a childish thread. Why do you feel the need to make fun of an entire state just because we're playing their football team. Besides some of the things you list about them they would say about us and neither are true. I suggest at this point you are not adding much to the great state of SC. Go Tigers!

The two states are very similar. Engineering based upstate (Huntsville) with rolling foothills, dumpster fire of a middle of the state politically ( Birmingham and Montgomery), but can be a good place to visit, and an old port city feel on the coast. Really enjoy living here.
