Can’t really comment about the design. Good for them to be

Contemplating a Home of their own. Good that it would be closer to campus but it’s still off-campus. I’d work hard to have it on campus if I were them. I wonder what capacity they are considering.

I like that it's open ended like the old Orange Bowl. That place was electric.
Right though they should just stick with a few palm trees on the open side.

20,000 seats and they might have a sellout once a year.

They need a stadium really bad, and some real fans that support Miami like Clemson fans supports Clemson.
I lived in South Florida(West Palm Beach) after college, had a furniture business. They don’t support their college teams or Pro teams like Clemson fans do because theirs so many other things to do.
You’d think as populated as South Florida is a small percentage would support them strongly but that’s not the case.
It’s a huge market but people don’t care about college football enough to put money & effort in it.
I loved the original Orange Bowl, to bad they didn’t keep it & redo it.

Seems like when they tore down the Orange Bowl, I remember plans being discussed for a new stadium at the time, and everyone hated that it was like 25 miles from the UM campus.

The people in Coral Gables do not want the nuisance involved in U football games. Despite the drawing, the campus is a couple of miles from the ocean.

60,000 seats is about 50,000 too many.
Maybe they plan to put cardboard cutouts in the stands?
If Mario goes 6-6 this year, I bet we won’t hear about this stadium again for a while.
