National championship tonight. NC State with one. Va Tech just lost one. Hate Clemson had to give it up. Great sport!

and somebody winning it in the early 90s, can't remember his name. Wade Schalles and Eddie Griffin were both great coaches.

2x NCAA champ @ Clemson, went on to be 3x World/Olympic medalist.
This year's event was definitely interesting. Penn State broke their own points record from a year prior & became 2nd team to have 10 All-Americans in single tournament. Their runaway dominance overshadowed outstanding tournaments from Nebraska (2 champs, 8 A-As) and Oklahoma State (2 champs, 6 A-As). Among the highlights:
*Wyatt Hendrickson (OK State, former Air Force wrestler & current USAF 2LT) upset Olympic/2x NCAA champ Gable Stevenson with last minute takedown *PSU's Carter Starocci became 1st (& most likely only) wrestler to win 5 D1 national titles, bumping up in weight & defeating last year's 184 lb champ Parker Keckeisen (Northern Iowa, 5x A-A) *197 lb champ Stephen Buchanan (Iowa) became 1st wrestler to be A-A for 3 different schools (last year at Oklahoma, 2021 & 2022 at Wyoming). Notably defeated 2021 champion AJ Ferrari in semis. *Dean Hamiti (OK State, 3x A-A at Wisconsin) upset 2x champ Keegan O'Toole (Mizzou) to win 174 lb title *Mac Stout (Pitt) beat brother Luke (Princeton) in the 2nd round - 1st ever matchup of brothers facing each other in D1 Championship history

It was hard to keep them from fighting everyone on the quad in their spare time...but doubt that is why program was terminated..

It was Terminated because of Title 9. In the Case of Clemson, the Men have been discriminated against for a couple of Decades. If not for Football Revenues, most of these Women’s Teams would NOT exist. CU Wrestling had as much Success, or More in 25-30 years than CU Basketball has in well over a Hundred years. I was P!ssed when they eliminated the Program and remain disappointed. It is a Phenomenal Sport!

We put a guy into a match under the guise of him being someone else. The NCAA was about to drop the hammer, and we title 9'd our way out.
