It's an epidemic!

You see people on their phones at work when they should be working. - five young people in the break room at work playing their phones loud; etiquette left the chat! - in the drive-thru and traffic when the car in front has already left. - in the checkout line at the store even when the cashier is asking them something.
Could the younger generation survive without a cell phone like us older folks did for decades?

It;s exactly why the atmosphere is not what it used to be at these venues back in the day. Got my car serviced the other day and in the waiting room everyone is staring at their phones and not looking or talking. We took some kids to ride around and look at lights back at Christmas and they all just stared at their phones rather than enjoying the experience and being in the moment. It's quite sad.

I completely agree. I think everyone being on their phones has taken away from the atmosphere. If you watch the videos of Clemson running down the hill 10 years ago compared to now it’s no where near as electric. Now everybody’s holding their phones in the air trying to take a video or photo instead of participating in what’s going on.

Right. And what’s even crazier is how useless that video will be. Like really. What do you even do with that??? They probably never even go back and watch it.
