WV in the ACC?

Why not? They would be a great fit given their rivalries with Pitt, VT and Syracuse..We need traditions like The Backyard Brawl in our conference.
I've heard academics were an issue, but if you look at their rankings they are quite comparable to some other ACC schools.
They have 25 Rhodes scholars...We have zero.

Not comparing them to CU. More to Louisville and Syracuse.
But 25 Rhodes scholars to our zero is pretty impressive. They must be doing something good in the classroom.

syracuse has high rankings academically , as far as i am aware, ...louisville not so much , but they are still a great addition to the conference ...excellent sports program and fully committed to football....jp

I always heard every NYU denial letter included a welcome to Syracuse letter as well.
You know, the same thing SCU students get when they apply to Clemson.

was a leader of the "academic fit" requirement. Had the UNC scandal come to light 10 years ago, WVU would already be in the ACC.

The BIg 12 has a grant of rights agreement similar to the ACC. No one is leaving anytime soon.

Maybe not anytime soon but if and when Norte damns tv contract runs out and the acc grows some balls and puts pressure on them to get in or out. In that case we would need another team to make it even and wv would be a perfect choice if their grant of rights contract is up.

so you think lville is better academically than wv? imo it was a big mistake to not take wv. we should have told nd to be a full member or take a hike. then if nd bolted take lville or eventually UConn.
