My Observations from Week 1

1. Alabama is just as good as expected, if not better.
2. Matt Barkley cemented himself as the man to beat for the Heisman, even though it was against Hawaii.
3. No QB controversy in Baton Rouge this year.
4. Oregon has the BEST offense in the nation, and DeAnthony Thomas is the fastest player in college football.
5. Oklahoma is overrated once again
, as I said. UTEP?? Really??
6. We will have to wait until Week 4 to know how good FSU is.
7. Georgia is overrated once again, as I said. Bufallo?? Really??
8. Arkansas struggled with the 1AA Gamecocks. Hate to see them against the 1A Roosters.
9. USC is in trouble if Shaw goes down.
10. West Virgina just scored again.
11. Michigan State dashed any Boise BCS hopes.
12. Clemson's defense is improved, and Kiehl? Frazier is NOT Cam Newton.
13. Danny O'Brien? is not Russell Wilson, much to the chagrin of Wisconsin fans.
14. Ohio State is gonna be good.
15. Logan Thomas is not the second coming like ESPN wants him to be for Va. Tech.
16. Nebraska has found them something with Taylor Martinez, at least for Week 1.
17. Texas is still not Vince Young Texas.
18. Oklahoma State scored 84 on the equivalent of a 3A high school.
19. Michigan is overrated, like i said and Denard Robinson isn't a QB.
20. TCU really should have scheduled a Week 1 game.
21. Notre Dame is gonna win the National Title (just kidding Lou Holtz). They beat NAVY. Get over yourself Lou.
22. Kansas State struggled with an inferior opponent and I for one wasn't surprised.
23. The SEC should kick Kentucky out and add Louisville.
24. Bowling Green clearly has SEC speed, just ask the Gators.
25. Stanford might have used up all their Luck (pun intended)

Funny and fairly accurate - will be interestng to see how Duke does at Stanford - hope they upset the Cardinals! You are right on about Shaw. He is the key (not Lattimore) to S.C.'s season. If he had not come back against Vandy, they would have lost. Go Tigers - keep improving. I will never forget the look on Auburns defensive line near end of game - they were gasping and their eyes were glazed.
Do you know what Cheatzic's record is without Cam Newton? a big loser!

Can't disagree that my Sooners looked overrated. I was nervous to see what we would look like with some starters out for the game. Things will get better...too much talent and too good of coaching to keep performing like that.
