As a die hard jag fan and Trevor supporter. He may not have it to be an nfl elite QB. He is way too aggressive at points and the accuracy just isn’t there. He’s not in a perfect situation but when he has the time to make the throws, it just isn’t happening.
I’m sure those of you who watch a few snaps here and there or only remember him at Clemson will tell me I’m wrong but it’s getting to be bad. Even in his most memorable game he threw 4 picks. He may be more Baker Mayfield than Mahomes.

We all know how one player throws off everything, I would relax. You can’t ask players to do more than they are capable of, Kirk out puts everyone out of position.

Trust me I’m well aware of Kirk’s impact, but that is no excuse for the level he’s playing at. I’m more concerned with walker little at LT, but when you have Mahomes losing literally every relevant WR and still producing it’s troubling. CJ stroud with 0 true WR 1 outproducing him is troubling.

Some of your arguments in this thread I can agree with, however, it is NOT even a close situation comparing Mahomes and TL.
Mahomes has Kelce, a good defense, and the best coach in the NFL calling plays on O (Reid). FWIW I like Doug Pederson and think him and TL work well together. However, Jacksonville and KC are two different worlds.
As for CJ Stroud, he's got two pretty good WRs in Nico Collins and Tank Dell, and I'm curious how he'll be once he's back from concussion protocol. I'd have to say I'm eating crow on him as I thought he was gonna be trash based on his preseason performance but he turned in some good performances before fizzing out against the Jets. Crazy enough, despite Stroud's TD/INT ratio being better, TL has the better QBR (54.8 v. 60.2).
Anyhow, seems like the entire Jags team is in a funk at the moment. Personally, I'm torn but I think we're seeing a perfect storm of just terrible timing for things against the Jags. Their last 4 opponents:
1) Tampa Bay - Actually underrated. They've been a stingy team but have put together some solid performances lately. TL playing hero ball and that's never good. For a frame of reference of how today was....TL was the leading rusher with 29 yards...that should almost NEVER be a thing.
2) Baltimore - #1 AFC seed at the moment. Good defense + Lamar Jackson...yeah not fun. TL exits with a concussion.
3) Cleveland - Joe Flacco has them playing better than when DW4 was the starter. Killer defense. TL, somehow managing to be cleared from injury, throws 3 INTs against probably the best defense in the AFC.
4) Cincinnati - Jake Browning played amazing and TL exited the 4th QTR with a sprained ankle. Jags defense and Kicker cost them the game.
Bonus: the rushing game through these 4 games....not one game where the leading rusher had over 50 yards...that is abysmal - Mahomes, Stroud...BRADY would struggle with a lack of support and becoming a one-dimensional machine.
That said, TL isn't immune to fair criticism. He's pressing too much and, not being 100%, he should lean into being a game manager more-so than ever to preserve himself and not put his defense in a spot because they are not playing well right now. FWIW I can't blame the guy for wanting to make a play to spark the team but, again, you don't want him playing hero ball all the time, especially when he's not 100% healthy.
That said, at least they get Carolina next week to potentially get back on track. They'll need to win out to clinch the division. Hope that the shoulder injury TL had was just a stinger.
Edit: TLDR since I didn't realize how long my response was: - I'm still a believer in TL. - I think the current stretch is a combination of bad luck playing good teams, team being in a funk, and TL not being at 100%.

I would actually love to debate you on this, you have fair points but I would like for you to hear my side. It is very easy to pick and choose statistics, and I think you’re well researched. But without going into a message board debate I would enjoy hearing your thoughts personally. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I believe I have many counterpoints to your takes.

I hate to say it but I kinda agree. Trevor has not shown that he is an elite QB. I do believe he is good and serviceable, but he needs key offensive players in place to be successful to overcome some of his issues

Absolutely none. Easily the worst o line in the NFL besides the Giants. Even Cisco back is doing nothing. Kirk hurts, but not a 20-0 excuse.

They are still on the Trevor train. And they should be, IMO. There aren’t many good QBs and Trevor is one, but he is trying way too hard on a team that is way too thin right now. Particular OL.
27-0 right now…and the Jags may still back in to a home playoff game.

Toned it down now that he works for the team. McManus is pretty darn brutally frank about things.
All the sudden it seems like we need help everywhere. Maybe not qb or rb, OL needs so much help, I would just start there, and keep adding there, forever, and ever, ever.
Just like Clemson, start at OL, stay at OL, always work on OL.
Everything else looks genius when the OL is great. Hold the ball all day, wear people out. OL

Cam was average at best but we were winning with him. Walker Little has been an absolute bust everywhere we have put him. 31st ranked secondary in the league, and even when Campbell has played it’s been bad.
Lot of stuff to work on and it better not include resigning Ridley.

Is such a weird puzzle…some brilliant plays followed by some total brain farts and uninspiring efforts.
He and Trevor don’t really seem to match up well. They have some great plays, but you’d expect that from any high-profile combo. They have some really inexplicable miscommunications, way too often.

As much as this Falcons fan wants the Jags to resign Ridley, it doesn't make sense for them to do it. They have got to shore up that OL. I though him getting extended was a no brainer but he hasn't clicked with Trevor and they need to put that money to use in more impactful ways for them.
Trevor is fine and will be a top tier QB for a decade. His problem, and we've seen it before at Clemson, is he presses and tries to do too much when things don't go well. Early in 2019 we saw it and it happened in the championship game against LSU. He'll be fine but that front office has got to fix the OL.

You guys do realize he’s not been getting practice, is still dealing with a high ankle sprain, a patchwork Oline, and missing his 3rd down safety valve receiver. Also can’t lean on the running game. He’s been throwing high downfield ever since the ankle injury. I say allow him to get healthy again before writing his NFL obit.

The biggest issue is ZERO threat of a running game. Jax RBs are averaging like 3.2 yards per carry. That is one of the worst in the league.

He needs to pick his spots better. He's been overly aggressive since the Kirk injury. He's also been behind an OL that just isn't very good. They aren't generating any run game push and that is killing them. They were at their best last season when they were balanced. The whole world knows QBs that convert 3rd down make average teams great. The problem for the Jags this season, especially of late, is they are facing a lot of 3rd a long. Pederson's play calling has been a problem without a push in the run game. That reverse to Ridley yesterday that got stuffed is a prime example. He's had to reach into that bag to generate rushing yardage and it's blowing up.
I don't know what their plans are in free agency and the draft but getting a starting caliber tackle has to be a priority.
