You know he has been plagued by knee injuries since the end of his high school career? I assume not.

You are on a Clemson website.
You might want to read the fine print.

Really?

Why no medical hardship designation and an uncounted scholarship to finish his degree, if he's so injured?
Would he not want a highly prized degree from Columbia College South?

Injuries can't decrease your playing time?

Hey peckerhead....
Yes they can.
Haven't I seen you on cockytalk bashing the Clemson staff because Willy Korn didn't get the playing time you claim he was "promised"?

Absolutely ... injuries do decrease your ability to compete

But, the question is ... is it the injuries or the fact that you didn't have the talent and ability to begin with?
Guys like Tony Steward who had NFL potential, but just plain bad luck fought their way through the debilitating injuries to regain their playing time and eventually make it in the pros.
Others look at the roster and their realistic position in the pecking order and decide that they'll never see the playing time they want, so they hang it up or transfer to a school where, once healed they can possibly get back on the field.

they were allowed to STAY and finish their degrees. Seems not to be the case at USuC, injured means cut down there, according to your post . LOL

That's not true. We just put a kid on a medical hardship scholarship after his freshman year.

I know. That's why bragging about doing them is dumb because every school does it because they have nothing to lose from it.

i know this young man's dad and granddad. dad played little league football for me years ago. wish him the best. has had recurring knee problems. would not be surprised to see him play basketball at a smaller school.not very big, but was a baller when healthy.

How many Tigers posting herein have knee problems? How many have knee surgeries? Until some of you idiots badmouthing a student for his condition and a significant decision have a clue about knee pain then quite frankly you need to keep quiet! Those of us who have experienced physical pain to this degree understand a whole lot better what is involved.
Go Tigers!

I've developed some knee pain recently while training for the Cooper River Bridge run in April . It's not serious , but I can imagine being immobilized by knee pain isn't something I would wish on my enemies .

Why would an injury cause one to transfer
Feb 11, 2016, 11:08 AM
|
|
Because of playing time? If you're injured at usuck you'll still be injured wherever you go. Transferring because of injury is stupid. Like the next school you go to is gonna magically make your knee problems go away.
In short.... I don't buy it.
Hope he gets better if he does have injuries.

not unusual at all for an injury to contribute to a transfer. you lose 'half a step" and you may not be able to compete at the power 5 level... but you can still be pretty #### good at a smaller school.
