Kid has looked great out there lately, really wish the coaches would rotate him and Hoffler then move Woods back inside.

I was going to say too bad he's from Daniel and good. I guess they all forget about Shaq and Nuke.

we've signed them on to scholarships or added as walk-ons. The Clemson coaches' kids are all over that school in many programs - a heavy and professional emphasis on athletics there abounds, plus the locals and their very close affiliation with the school simply by default. It's been that way for a long time.

He looked really good Saturday night. I haven’t seen the stats but it seemed like he put more pressure on the FSU QB than anyone. I was thinking the same thing. If he can keep improving, maybe we can get PWoo back to playing tackle.

Saturday night was his best performance on the year. What’s impressed me the most is how he’s gotten better every game. He’s had some shaky moments but you can absolutely see the progress and confidence growing each week. With more playing time I think he has the chance to be a special player.

I have to give this post like #10.

J. Lawson "IS" going to end up in the league at the rate he is progressing! He wasn't rated a 4 or 5-star b/c he was 6'3 205 playing DE. Had he been 235 or so and maybe 6'5 he would have gotten the higher rating. Because, he plays the position of DE "very well". He just didn't have the body for college. Now, "he does"!

"Power Hour" has done him a lot of good!

Now you have a talented DE; who has a motor who also has the weight to hold up in the run game( listed at 250 now).

No axe to grind but I'm missing what a lot of the posters must be seeing. I've watched him play from the spring game and on into this season. I sit in the lower deck with binoclulars and have a decent view of things at home. He can't possibly be playing at 250 lbs. He was standing shoulder to shoulder with Barrett Carter during the Stanford game and appears to be the same size. He has 1 sack for the year. Has trouble getting off blocks once he's engaged with a tackle. We may skate by with the soft schedule but I don't feel comfortable with how he would match up if we make it to the playoffs. Granted, still time to get stronger and improve for next year. FWIW NFL defensive ends average 75.82" and 279 lbs. XT is in the ballpark of Lawson in size while running a 4.56 at Pro Day. He struggled against the run at Clemson and is a back up linebacker in the NFL.

Everyone complained when he was offered. We knew he was a developmental player. He is only two years out of HS. He will be someone counted on for the next two seasons and we do not need to worry about him going into the portal

The guy has grown unbelievably in the 2 yrs he's been on campus!! I don't know the exact # but he's put on like 50 lbs! He's turned himself into a nice contributer when everyone knocked the offer way back & said he'd never play! Yet people still on here knocking his game!! SMH

prime example of someone hitting that spurt a little later than others considering how we've seen him physically evolve these past two years. Seems like there's always a few of these in our recruiting classes - late takes on kids under the national radar who 'love the game of football' but just haven't quite grown out physically like their peers yet are likely overperforming in HS according to their size.

Love the way Dabo told him he was going to redshirt and the were going to put him in the “crock pot”

Now he’s over 250 pure muscle

I listened to the radio show last night and he said that the first question he asks coaches about high school players “does he love football?”

He said he asks that because those players do whatever it takes and requires to get better and help the team. He said the guys that like football and the idea of being associated with it, are much harder to coach and motivate.

When he says Clemson is a “developmental program”, this is they type of story I have in mind.
