100 Meters - who y'all taking?
Any other speedsters that might be fun to include?
I'd say CJ Spiller but Dabo said Ford had him no problem.
On the football field I'd take CJ over all of them - dude had that game breaker speed that I haven't seen since. - HM: ETN and Sammy Watkins were close.

Wiggins. He knew he didn’t get the time he was aiming for. Disappointed was hoping he may have set the all time record

They asked him afterwards and he said he was disappointed and thought he would run 4.2 on the air

Etienne had the most game speed I've seen at Clemson and that's no disrespect to CJ.

Consider him in his junior season and forward when he added power to that speed and he was video game 99 kind of unstoppable.

Great debate - ETN vs Spiller speed.
Personally, I still think Spiller takes it since he was also a track dude. Both were explosive but Spiller's game speed seemed unmatched when he broke it open. I think I remember ETN being ran down a few times but not Spiller.
ETN definitely developed into the stronger/prototypical RB tho

his in game speed + sheer # of long breakaway TDs + recency make T. E. difficult to argue against when discussing the most probable outcome of a hypothetical speed on speed 100 meters or less sprint race—

Probably Jacoby. He won the NCAA 60 yard dash. On the other hand, Wiggins gets going after a sec. It would be fun to watch.

I'd honestly like to see Tavien Feaster in a long distance run - he didn't have the quick twitch but allegedly he was also one of those that also came on strong after getting up on speed

Ford, track star. Don’t forget Martavis Bryant, he could fly.

Agree - allegedly Ford also ran a 4.12 in HS. Even hand timed that's crazy. I still remember the image of Ford out running CJ on the Maryland kick return to block for a TD.
Good call out - Martavis was underrated speed wise. I remember him running Go routes as a FR thinking they should just throw it up to him

What about Woody Dantzler.....
Maybe not the fastest 40, but he had stop/start ability and I can't remember him ever getting ran down

James Trapp could fly in rarified air with Jacoby Ford
James Trapp (born December 28, 1969) is a former American sprinter and American football player and currently a co-owner and Facility Coordinator for D1 Sports Training in Greenville, SC. He was selected by the Los Angeles Raiders in the third round of the 1993 NFL Draft.[1] Trapp earned a Super Bowl ring while playing for the Baltimore Ravens in the 2000 season.
Track and field Trapp was a World-Class sprinter. At the 1991 World University Games he won a gold medal in the 4 x 100 meter relay. He was a 1992 U.S. Olympic Team alternate in the 4x100 meter relay. At the 1993 IAAF World Indoor Championships, Trapp won the gold medal in the 200 meter dash, with a time of 20.60 seconds.
His personal bests are 10.03 seconds in the 100 meters and 20.17 seconds in the 200 meters, but also competed in the 55 meters, posting a personal best of 6.16 seconds.
Personal bests Event Time (seconds) Venue Date 55 meters 6.16 Reno, Nevada February 22, 1992 100 meters 10.03 Austin, Texas May 9, 1992 200 meters 20.17 New Orleans, Louisiana April 28, 1992
