Outside of the ACC splintering, I don't understand this move. Who else could they add, not from the MWC? They won't get an automatic bid unless they have 12 teams, maybe it is less but certainly not 6. It made better sense for OrSt and Wazzou to join the MWC and vie for the highest ranked G5 champ. I just don't get this.

There is no automatic bid for any specific conference. The 5 highest ranked conference champions get the bids.

It's become a tallest midget conference. Wish Cal, Stanford and SMU had stayed out of the ACC.

Auburn has a Top 5 recruiting class right now for 25. I wouldn't count them or Freeze out in the next few years.

Can't be P5 with those teams! I assume it's P4 now with an assumption that it will be P2 with 48-64 teams with SEC and Big taking who they want. Not sure what happens to schools like Duke, Vandy, WF, NorthWestern, Purdue, Cal, etc as they are not competitive with top 10 normally.
