I'm starting to think Chad Morris & Kevin Steele are related

or at least share the same cup of Kool-Aid because both of them are either delusional or just plain blind to the fact that they are not getting statistics to match their comments. I don't think that Clemson has been a great "short yardage" team since Danny Ford was coaching. Yes, Boyd was able to ad lib alot of tough yards, but most were broken plays in the open field...not many from inside the one. To not use a fullback on OCCASION is pure ego on Morris' part. Where's the tight ends dragging across the middle? How about the WR going to the corner post? Why not option pitch to RB in the flat? What about running somewhere besides between G-C-G? CJ Davidson is/was a triple jumper...don't you think he could go over the top of the line?
Morris is lost without elite talent such as Nuk & Sammy.

Let me type slowly for the COOT...

Try Hooked on Phonics to help you read....I love what he says he WANTS to do and SAYS he does, but in fact, he has stopped doing the things that made his style successful & fun to watch. All we used to hear was "only about 70% of his playbook" was being used AND we're gonna run 90+ plays per game. After 3 or 4 years of these promises, I would think he's had time to implement 100% of his playbook, but we keep seeing the same dumb calls over & over without any purpose and we're now back to about 70 or so plays per game. Hopefully that is slow & simple enough for even a COOT to understand.

Keep your smart aleck comments to yourself if you don't have anything of value to add to the board or the world for that matter.

One thing to add to your Spurrier pumping post to say boyd didn't convert is not only idiotic but shows your lack of being able to comprehend the simplest of statistics, yes cootmac learn how to read stats, comprehend them, and then maybe you should think about posting??

I'm sure you have no experience in politics, but have plenty opinions on the present or former presidents of our country.

WOW...

WOW... hate to see who you would throw under the bus if we had lost. Yes Chad came in from the High School level and he is (to this day) developing as a Collage level coach, but one would have to be blind not to see the improvement to our offence after he has come on board.
Now granted, his course is going to be influenced by the players he has to work with…. Tajh, Sammy, and the Nuke were great tools to have in past years, but they are gone and new talent needs to be developed. Have we had a CJ type back in the past few years? (I only wish) How about consider that Cole having to come into the game and replace DeShaun threw a wrench in the works. Also a news flash... we were facing Louisville that many considered to be one of the best defenses in college football this year… have you considered these things? Chad made mistakes… Dabo & Chad both said their coaching was subpar in this game and they were taking responsibility. That is very respectable in my opinion.
Is there a need for improvement? Yes, and they see it. Let’s wait to see if and how they fix the problem before we tie Chad to the train tracks. I know I don't want "The Chad" going some place else.

He also , in his all-telling post ...stated that we no longer have "elite" talent at Clemson. I think that is erroneous. We have a bunch of it , and Chad is using it well. Dude needs to unclench and quit straining .

I guess you missed the part where I said....."new talent needs to be developed."
Hate The Chad all you want... Protest by giving me any game tickets you might have so you don't have to get frustrated by him.

I guess I just imagined that?
We've struggled this year and Morris needs to find a fix, but lets not act like we didn't convert a lot of short yardage situations the last three years.

What we did with last year's personnel has very little to do with what we can not do with this year's personnel. Chad needs to adapt to his personnel.

OP said we've struggled in short yardage since the Ford days. Tajh and the past 3 years disagree.
