Alright, if Clemson wins the ACC and TCU and USC lose. There’s a chance the CFP will select the 2 loss ACC champion over 2 loss bama, 2 loss tenn, 2 loss USC, 2 loss penn st, 1 loss OhioSt, 1 loss TCU, after all Conference winners get bonus point in the selection right?
So four spots would be Georgia Michigan Clemson and a toss up between non conference winners Ohio st and TCU.
The committee ranking Clemson at 9 makes me believe they still believe Clemson belongs and if we can take care of business Saturday and get some help in those other conference games the path is there.

We have the talent to play with anyone period if we play like we are capable. Clemson is a hard out for any team even as bad as we are compared to the past.
If we become balanced and DJ is accurate without turnovers we could beat anyone. Our defense is lethal with an offense that’s scoring and giving them a break.

I think making the playoff 7 out of 9 years is better for recruiting, revenue, national exposure, brand recognition, and media perception.
Why do you think we have stayed so high in the rankings all year. Because of our recent history we were given benefit of doubt just like certain SEC schools.
Making the playoff (even getting blown out) weighs more than any bowl game in my opinion.

Interesting but I think UGA, TCU, USC, and Michigan will all run away in their conference championship games. TCU I guess is a toss up but in goes Ohio State or even Kansas State in that situation. End of the day, there hasn’t been 4 competitive teams in the Playoffs yet so the shuffling has rarely mattered.

Uhhh y’all realize we win the acc we will play Bama or Ohio State in the Orange Bowl, right?
We basically will be playing the highest ranked team not in the playoff. May as well play UGA down the road in Atlanta (though that’s out the window now). This aint the same UGA team from last year, but we really looked like the same Clemson team from last year vs the chickens.

A lot of those are true but I dont think we get in over a 1 loss TCU.
I mean we would have to beat UNC like 55-3 or something and show them we found an offense.
I mean its great to see that 2% chance still there but lets just concentrate on getting the ACC title back where it belongs and go from there.
