Some of us are former Clemson football player fans. I would like to see TL and TE succeed. I know in the past you have been harsh in your criticism of our successful Clemson football program. But I suspect even you would want them to succeed. The nice thing about the NFL for me is I’m not really a fan of any team but do like to see our former players do well (and hate to see when unfortunately some do not)

The point was that I am not a Jaguars fan (I choose to make myself suffer as a Falcons fan instead) and that my first thought now when I think about the Jags is the weird Duvall chant. The new coach doing it in a creepy way was memorable.
But yes, it's great that you cheer for former Clemson players in the NFL. I am confident that all of us here want to see Clemson guys excel.

My point is while I’m sure there are some fans due to geography or whatever reason, I would imagine that many pull for them just because some of our recent, obviously successful, and well-known players are on the team

Well, I became a Jags fan because they drafted TL and ETN ..I pull for them to do well ..

No detriot lion fan ever cares about other fans crying. Even the cleavland browns made it to the siperbowl, heck the jags did it in 2 years.
The lions are the nfl equivalent of Brad Brownell basketball teams. Get super excited about little things here and there.. but in the end haven't won a single thing.

Don't the Tigers have a couple of guys playing for Denver. PJ comes to mind. I'm not an NBA fan, so I don't keep up with it much.
