"Crimson and Clover" reached #1 on US Billboard,

May 14, 2015, 8:41 PM

while "Crystal Blue Persuasion" only peaked at #2. That's wild. All these years I've been thinking they were both former number ones. And although "Everybody's Talkin'" reached #1 in Canada, it peaked at #6 in the US. Every time I've heard that song over the years, I've thought it sounded for the world like a number one smash hit. Oh well, good songs all of them, but reaching number one's not easy. I guess that's why number one is a big deal.

"Everybody's Talkin" from his '74 solo live album. One side (wait, wut?) acoustic, one side electric. The acoustic side is especially good.

I loved that song, crimson and clover...Joan Jett and the blackhearts, back in the good old days

I always thought it was Tommy James and the Shondells.

May 16, 2015, 4:40 PM

I don't think I've ever heard anyone else do it.
