It is insanely difficult to beat the same team three times in a row at this level.
Relax, folks. The key is to win the series. We've done that. We're 33-5 and obviously need to develop our pitching down the stretch, much like every other team in the country.
Stanford can hit the ball. If they win then tip your cap and move forward.

Well, without getting into semantics too much, I don't think it's "insanely difficult" to beat the same team 3 times at this level. Sweeps aren't THAT uncommon.

We have one of the best lineups in the entire country and can outscore most teams. We do have an issue with SP behind Knaak. Pointing that out is being honest, not negative.
Darden should be a mid-week starter, not the Saturday starter. Our only dependable RP are Garris and Mahlstedt. It will be hard to make it out of a regional or super regional if the bats go cold because we are not going to win with good pitching.
Hopefully, one of the injured pitchers makes it back and gives us better depth. Otherwise, it's hard to imagine us being a legitimate CWS contender.

Yep and yep. The goal is always to win the series. Sweeps are nice and have happened a lot for this team. As long as you can win the series, you can keep playing

Yeah, Bailey has had one bad start out of his 3 total starts, and has been great in his relief appearances this year. You don’t remove him from the rotation after one bad game

And at the college level all the players are really good. If you have three high level starting pitchers it is easy to win games. It seems as though we have one high level starting pitcher. Omaha will be tough but we shall see

I played PeeWee, Little League, Pony, and Colt League baseball back in the 70s. I played mostly shortstop, but moved to centerfield for my last couple of seasons.

I played on an unbeaten Little League team and I caught the last ball of the game to preserve the pitcher's no hitter and so I can speak plainly about baseball at any level.
