You're part of the problem and sound like you were on one the "fans" throwing trash on the field. Don't you EVER forget what that man has done for this program.

While there are a lot of folks upset with the greatest coach in Clemson history right now I for one am glad he’s still around. Even in these type of moments I respect the man and I do not quickly forget that he has also taken us to heights that were unimaginable. I was 100% behind him then and I’m 100% behind him now.

That’s a hard pill to swallow given the fact that we had TWICE as long to prepare for it as louisville did.

I agree that it is disappointing to lose like that after a bye week, but Louisville is no pushover
It was about a month ago that they were #15 in the country. If not for the refs gift wrapping the Miami game, and two losses against ND and SMU that could have gone the other way, they’d probably be a top 8 team right now. But unlike Clemson, Louisville did what they needed to do

SMU plays BC, UVA and Cal so there would have to be some sort of earth shattering event for them to lose. Miami has a tougher road playing Georgia Tech, Wake and Syracuse so there might be a chance on that end but not much. Unfortunately, our players and fans must have looked at Louisville's 3 loss record instead of who they lost to and how good their offense was The surprising and disappointing thing was their defense did a good job of shutting us down. There is absolutely no excuse for having 2 kicks again and changes have to be made. We have to now play better than we have against VT, Pitt and South Carolina or it could be ugly.

Yada Yada YADA, it's the very same BS on a different day by the same HC taking all the blame like it makes it okay for everyone else. The fact is they lost as a team, and they looked as bad as we've seen over the past 3 years. IMHO, the way that this team has played over the past 3 years is mainly about Dabo and the coordinators he turned those kids over to while he's living the high life on 11 mil a year. When you turn your team over to coaches with very little time and experience at the jobs they've been given, and it really shows. First year coordinators could take the talent our team has on it and destroy the teams we have beaten the past 3 years, and those same coordinators are going to lose to the tougher teams with less talent, but their coordinators had years of experience and had their players playing like 4 and 5 star kids that would whip up on teams like Clemson that has better talent but without coaches that don't have enough experience. If that wasn't the truth, our coaches wouldn't be out coached the way they were last night and over the last 3 years, and our HC said it himself, we were plainly outcoached and out played!!!!!!!!
Another truth is, we have position coaches that should be coordinators, and coordinators that should be getting more experience as position coaches...

AO52, I'm not smart enough to say definitely that you're right, but it sure sounds like it. We definitely have more talent (according to the recruiting rank) than any team in the acc.
I'm pretty sure that holds true even with the transfer rank included. So it does appear that we have a developmental problem. Or, we're just not good at evaluating what our needs are.
Hiring a new DE coach was a good start, but we clearly should have given him a transfer DE to work with. We've been extremely lucky this year to not have many key injuries and we rank 2nd in the fewest turnovers. That's good stats wise, but maybe that also says our offense isn't taking enough chances. Idk. But I think you're on the right track.

Seems like Brohm pulls off at least one upset a year. As they say, the other team's kids were on scholarship too. It seems that sometimes a bye week when you're on a winning roll throws everything off.

Last night was a tough watch. Didn’t understand the early play calling and not sure why the horizontal throws ante still thought to be a good idea. Mafah, seemed to be one of the few guys with fire in his belly last night. Louisville looked like they punched the Tigers in the mouth early and it scared most everybody. From beginning to end everything seemed to be out of sync. Sure hope we are not seeing the beginning of the end but then again College Football has changed to where every weekend you are playing hired mercenaries. Looking for the Tigers to finish on a roll. GO TIGERS.

The few times that Cade did throw the ball down field, it was usually in double coverage or in really tight coverage and if it was broken up and not caught, a couple of series would go by before a play call going down field was tried again. They have road Cade really hard and called him out in front of the media for not following the play call to the T before, that he never seems to improvise anymore when the play called wouldn't have been a good idea to try. Just let the kid play, tell him what they are seeing the D giving him and tell him to make a play based on what they see the D giving and let him use his ability, do that and I believe that Cade will be a much better college QB, I think they would see the QB that they recruited out of HS...

This was a bizarre game. What team has 450 yards of offense, goes 5 for 6 on fourth down, has no turnovers, has one less penalty than the other team, has 31 first downs!—and still loses? At home in Death Valley in front of the most supportive fans in college football? Yes, our defense flopped, but then, that Louisville offense is no slouch. So we needed to simply outscore them. And yet, we did not score a point from the end of the first quarter until the fourth quarter was more than half gone. Sure, two blocked field goals is inexcusable. But let’s say those FG opportunities produced six points. Great, we’ll take ‘em. But why can’t this offense—with Phil Mafah and better receivers this year than we have had since TL left—score more touchdowns? Any team that performs like we did last night, against the first decent team we have faced since getting stomped by Georgia, ain’t goin’ to no CFP. The TBM (Tommy Bowden Mediocrity) has returned.

The game turned out the way that it did bc when we were having success moving the ball, Riley would go to a play call that would slow our offense down, there were to many bad play calls that would counter the successful play calls, and it would slow or stop the success we were having. IMHO, this loss was clearly on Garrett Riley and him not staying aggressive with the play calling...

I agree with Dabo, that was a poorly coached team. Our defense has succeeded/failed based on talent. The coaching/playcalling is subpar. And that offense had no response. Kept doing same thing over and over, and watching runs up the middle go for no gain.

Only Dabo can fix the coaching - he hired them and as a group, were clueless and unprepared on the sidelines. Even the secretaries threw up their hands after the game.
