Depositions are starting in the FSU/ACC lawsuit.

Five high level FSU people (including two former presidents) who were in office in the 2013-2019 time frame will be deposed by ACC attorneys over the next two weeks. Sorry, the only report I can find is behind a paywall.

I take this as good news for FSU and Clemson. Discovery has started. But, I'll let folks who understand complex legal matters far better than I weigh in.

... that the cases were being dropped as part of the negotiations extending the contract to 2036.

I haven't seen anything about them officially dropping the lawsuits. ESPN extending the contract (which we knew the deal they are getting they would) and the negotiations among the ACC on brand payout are two different matters.


Keep suing until we get our worth!

Maybe lawyers are getting their billable hours in before the case gets dropped. Could be a possibility. Lawyers gonna lawyer.
