I don't know about you or any other T-Netters but, I'm just not believing this DJ is injured. I believe they are trying to keep DJ out of injury's way by not allowing him to face the Tiger team that he talked just a little junk about after he got to FSU. That was probably in his deal for signing with FSU. DJ; I'll sign with FSU if I don't have to play against Clemson when they come up on the schedule!!!

Hoping it’s some team we get to play. It’ll be a guaranteed win for us. He just never seemed to materialize into a positive factor for us. I hope he saved some of his NIL incentives.

5 games into the season is pushing it but don't be surprised if there's not a request for a medical redshirt. Who knows what the NCAA will do for a former Dr. Pepper QB.

I actually like DJU and feel bad for the guy. He was 100% Clemson when here and was 100% a team player. He had aspirations of playing in the league so he left us because he saw the writing on the wall. He knew Cade was taking his spot. No one can blame him. He obviously isn't making it to the league and it has probably started to set in for him. He is getting hated on by Clemson, OSU and now FSU fans. All he's done is do his best. We really gotta be better than that and just wish him the best with his future. His daddy has just pushed him and ruined his life and i feel bad about that. With that said I was looking forward to us playing him. Oh well. Go Tigers!!

Good poast. Can’t say my gut reaction was the same (has been more like the majority of people) but when I reflect on the things you say, I agree with you. Sometimes we all need to remember these are real human beings and no characters and should be treated with the dignity they deserve. He was absolutely 100% Clemson when he was here and I too wish him the best. Thanks for your thoughts.

I was disappointed with DJU.
I was more disappointed with the coaching braintrust at Clemson that refused to sit DJU down and develop Klubnik.
Losing the USuC game (30-31) in 2022 was the epitome of a full season of bad coaching decisions.

I agree. Cannot understand why he was never benched. Even the FSU coach wouldn’t bench him.
He may be a nice young man but he sure isn’t a good QB. But he sure knew how to capitalize on the NIL. FSU paid him 430K to suck.

I agree. DJ had the misfortune of having to follow TL. All he did was win at least 10 games a year during his tenure. It wasn't his faulty that Dabo elected not to let Cade have a turn during the SC game. I'm sure DJ would have cheered him on, just as he did when he was replaced in the UNC game. He put up with a lot of junk from the Clemson faithful during his time as our QB. I had hoped that he would go back to the left-coast and be successful with another set of teammates and a different coach. I'm not thrilled to hear that he won't play Saturday. Sometimes it's better to deal with the "devil you know than the one you don't know." I just hope all of the talent FSU has doesn't "find itself" when they play us. GO TIGERS

He didn't win 10 games, the team did. Feels disrespectful to the other 21 starters.
If he decides to switch to baseball I hope he does better than that, no bad will towards him, he just isn't and will never be a good college or nfl qb.

All any of us can do is try the best with what we have. Can you imagine at his age having received the nod for the throne only to come out and fall down the stairs of Air Force 1? Now he's campaigned in 2 other states and taken the same tumble? The analogy oddly seemed to fit in these times. DJ always seemed to be a very humble nice kid and I can only wish the best for him. I think he has confidence issues and has also suffered from support talent not up to par with what we gave him to use at Notre Dame.

I agree with you 100%. DJU does not deserve all this criticism. I honestly believe that DJ loved Clemson and did the best he could for us. He is Good Guy. Great Post. Wake up Tiger Fans criticism for DJU is not the way to go. Go Tigers

He absolutely deserves the criticism. He’s a lifetime 55% completion QB. Slow at reads and slow when running. Yeah he’s doing the best he can but if he can’t see that he’s bad then he deserves to be called out.
I’m just shocked that FSU didn’t know how bad he was.

Thoughts about DJ aside, this changes a lot about the game. Glad we got this news at least a little in advance. Preparing for one QB and suddenly facing a different one can be difficult. I remember when Dan Marino was getting older and injured more often, it seemed like the fins would win most games he had to leave because the other team was prepared for a statue in the pocket and the backup was more mobile. It just made a huge difference. Hope Wes gets his guys ready.
