In today’s environment, there’s just so much uncertainty.
If we can keep the nucleus of this team going into next year, I like our chances to make a deep run.

Comfortable? He and his wife's family, his boys families, his boys future kids, his mom, and whoever else he chooses could live comfortable and not work another day.l unless there has been some major mismanagement.

His contract runs through 2031 and jumps to roughly 12 million per year on the back half of the 10 ten years. He's not going anywhere until all his sons are established as coaches or in some related enterprise. Sure all are aware that Will and Drew are with the team on a path to become assistants at some level.

At this point, he’s probably making more money in invested interest than Clemson is paying him annually. I don’t think money is a driving motivator as he’s already set for life

Hatfield had boosters actively recruiting against him.
West and Bowden had to endure terribly outdated facilities.
Make no mistake, Dabo deserves tons of credit for what he has accomplished, but let’s not act like he fans had a ton of help and support that other coaches didn’t.

What are you talking about? Danny Ford won a title and had multiple ACC titles.
Plus we’re a different Clemson than we’ve ever been. We are now a national brand and we have money regardless of what some of y’all think.
Just bc Dabo walks away doesn’t mean we’re going back to cellar. They’re plenty and I mean plenty of big time guys that would come here for the money we pay and they would win.
My point is… Dabo is not the only guy in the world that can win at Clemson and some here act like once Dabo is gone then Clemson is dead and that couldn’t be farther from the truth.
It’s ridiculous how people can just assume we’d turn into Wake Forest just bc one guy leaves.
Clemson University is bigger than Dabo Swinney. Clemson was here before him and Clemson will be here long after him and the rest of us.
If Dabo hung it up tomorrow I promise you… we’re going to have our choice of top guys. There may be 10 guys in college football that we couldn’t get if that.

I would thank him for being an outstanding coach and leader of our program.
I would think about how we can best honor him (statue, stadium naming, etc.).
Then I would turn my attention to who our next coach will be.
No tears shed. No clutching of pearls.
Clemson football would be fine.
