Clemson competing against Gamecocks in 32nd Blood Bowl

CLEMSON — Clemson University is competing against rival University of South Carolina to see who can donate the most blood in this week’s 32nd annual Blood Bowl.

There are nine locations on campus where students, faculty and community members can donate blood. All donors will receive a free long-sleeved T-shirt and a wristband giving them access to various local deals.

The Blood Connection, AnMed Health and The Red Cross will be collecting donations this year.

All locations are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., an hour longer than in previous years, through Friday.

Donors can use the hashtag #CUBloodBowl or #CUSavesLives on Twitter or Instagram with a picture of themselves donating blood for chance to win a signed football from Dabo Swinney, a shirt from The Greek Gallery or a $50 Gift Card from Judge Keller’s Store.

Blood donation stations will be at the following locations: Bowman Field, Brackett Hall, Core Campus, Fernow Café, Hendrix Student Center, Palmetto Ballroom, Riggs Hall, Vickery Hall and the Watt Center.

Are there not other locations around the state where we can donate blood and designate it for Clemson? I live in the low country and can't really drive up to God's country to donate blood, but I would love to help.

Can I donate at the Blood Connection on Woodruff Rd. or do I need to go to Clemson?
