Dude literally looked like deer in headlights. Defense did their job. DJ was just god awful. Would have liked to just see him get benched let another guy take a crack at it.

and have 2 seconds to make a decision with NO ruin game. DJ didn't play well but without any blocking up front, doesn't matter who's in there.

ehhh...he had plenty of time on a lot of those sacks and upon replay it was evident that there was a receiver wide open that he didnt look at. He seemed to stare down his main option a lot of times

I wanted Hunter or PH get a good series try, just to let DJ watch at least 3+ downs. He was the cog tonight. We win this game easy if he played like he did against ND, or we had any of our last long term starters

It was definitely all on the offense. There isn't a person on this board who thought that we woior hold Georgia to 3 offensive points and lose the game yet here we are. Everything from Elliott down needs to be reevaluated. We have a championship level defense and a junior high offense and if we ignore it we won't go anywhere the next couple of seasons.

That would make not running DJ make sense.

He had no protection at all, and the play calling didn't help him either. It's all on the OL. But since they were over matched it's on the OC to come up with something instead of running the same plays.

Well then run.. find the gap in the rush and get 8 yards

DJ showed me that he doesn’t have the ability to create and improvise when the play call breaks down. Which with our line… doesn’t bode well for the future.

Probably the latter. The OL coaching has been an issue too long

for anything but quick slants, and seemed like every time we tried one of those, it got batted down.
Sometimes the other team just plays better. This was certainly one of those times. If we had won this game with the way our offensive line played, they should have arrested us for highway robbery.

The offense was awful, DJ was awful, the play calling was awful. What I don't understand is why didn't he run. He's huge.TL would have run to change the dynamics of the game.

There's plenty of blame to go around everywhere. 5 turnstiles would have offered more resistance than the O-line tonight and the few plays DJ did have time he held on way too long and stared down the primary receivers. Elliot needs to throw away his playbook and come up with something other than the same tired plays everyone knows are coming at this point.
The good news is the Defense looks legit the best we've had in a few years. If the O-line can figure out how to block anyone they're still in this. I just hope they figure it out fast because tonight's offense was embarrassing.

im not going to put it all on DJ, but he shoulders a lot of the blame.. why? he's the qb and that's where it starts.. There were many of those sacks that could have been avoided.. after the interception.. that lane to the right was big enough to carry 4 people through side by side.. and he ran away from it. maybe he felt pressure or what.. The first sack.. the steps up he completes a ball to Ross right in front of him.. he pulls back and puts his head down sack.. a couple of passes he just locked on his #1 read and didnt pull off. We also had a lot of WRs running the same routes in the same area.. I know that's not drawn up that way. NO run game whatsoever. We completely abandoned the run game. If they were so afraid of him getting hurt or whatever they should have been feeding those rbs.. Yes i know it was a stout DL but you have to give them the thoughts that you may run. Kirby knew we werent running and he blitzed more than Venables did. That's saying a lot.
