A DJU led team ranked 10 spots higher than Clemson

That has coaching and development written all over it. Our coaching support staff is a reflection of Dabo’s arrogance that he can develop others regardless of their experience. Look at Saban’s coaching tree compared to his. BV is still a question, but who else hasn’t been a failure?

Let’s slow the roll until DJ actually plays a team with a pulse. If he beats Utah, I will start to believe.

You're right! Should have NEVER hired Dabo!!! Should have kept Bowden, West, or Hatfield.

Oregon State does a Pro Style Offense

And that style fits DJ. Thus, he is playing much better there. Also, it’s much closer to home. It’s basically a better “fit”.

aren't paying attention. He's the same as he ever was at Clemson. I'm rooting for DJ, but he's not a good QB and we aren't better with him.

There is a reason why this was considered a very weak portal QB class. Look at Bama, they need a QB desperately and knew it and didn’t even kick the tires on him. He’s a perfectly good, average QB and there is nothing wrong with that, but he ain’t winning a natty or a conference.

The big bumbling bozo no longer plays for Clemson. His lousy arm and super-sized dad are yesterday’s news. Southern Cal will end your stupid narrative about DJU being able to play.

Upcoming schedule for DJ: San Diego State Washington State Utah Cal UCLA Arizona Colorado Stanford Washington Oregon
Let's see how he does against that schedule, then we can judge!

"lousy arm", LOFL

If there's anything that the Big Cinco has it is arm talent in spades. It's the QB intangibles that he is missing, and will likely ultimately mean his "relative failure" of not making the NFL.
Only fools like you spout off based on ego and emotion alone, and come up sounding like a 4-yo when you do.

Thanks coot. Keep us informed as to when the coots have a Coaching Tree. Otherwise we’d never know.

Aidan Chiles will replace DJ as starter during the season.

So slow your roll a little bit.
Oregon State physically pulverized their opponent. DJ didn't have much to do with it. The Beavers brand of football is good for him because they don't need him to be a playmaker; just a game manager.
When the going gets tough as the season progresses, let's see what happens. They won't be able to run the ball successfully against every opponent.

I disagree ever so slightly....

I personally don't think that DJU cannot succeed without a run game or in the face of a nasty blitz. He, like all QB's, Joe Burrow, Pat Mahomes, and TL16 included, will struggle against those things. But I want to nuance that idea just a bit.
What I really think he struggles with mightily is the situation where there are no immediately open receivers to throw to. When he has to come off the first guy and recalibrate, I think he struggles to formulate the next alternative. Yes, it is the blitz that normally puts him in this position, but I've seen him take a blitz and hit a hit receiver in response as well. When that hot receiver isn't immediately available though is when he's got to move on, and I don't think he can do that particularly well.
Indeed, he seems to have the traits of a pitcher and not a QB. When he can stand back there like on a mound, and survey the field like a pitcher, he can throw absolute bee-bees.

The issue will be that the better defensive teams will start stacking the box to stop the run, like they did to us when he was our QB, and force him to have to carry the team with his arm. He either will or he won't step up and lead them, and we have some history that says that could be a challenge.
I'd like to see him play well but this is where he went off the rails with us.

imho, it isn't if teams "stack the box"....

it's if there are "immediately open receivers". There's a very real difference there.
Most people aren't aware that DJU threw to Ngata for more than 100 yards against UGA in Charlotte. If anyone ever put pressure on DJU, it was UGA. If anyone ever stopped our run game, it was UGA, and yet he had some success. Of course the other WR's he was throwing to were Brandon Spector, a hurt Justyn Ross, and God help us, Frank Ladson. None of them were ever going to be open.
IMHO, of course

I’m pulling for DJ. He looked like an NFL starter at times. He has all the tools. Just doesn’t have it upstairs.
I think there is a little bit of truth to your statement but the bottom line is you have to have the players. We haven’t recruited as well the past few years. Add that to the fact that we don’t use the portal and the lack of talent and depth is starting to show.

DJ was better in almost any 2 games at Clemson than he was in these two. And not just against the likes of SJSU and UC Davis.

We would be 2-0 and ahead of them if we he’d played their schedule thru 2 games. Just sayin.
