4 Things Are True From Now On

NIL and the transfer portal have created Parity that is here to stay.

It does matter which conference you play in when it comes to money flow and having more chances to make the playoffs.

It is harder than ever for any team to stay on top and dominate every game and year. Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson are perfect examples. We have elite talent, just not the depth possible in years gone by.

The way college football will look has forever changed and will continue to change year after year due to $$$$$$$$$$$. Once the door flew opened it can’t be closed. Even extreme coaches salaries has led to our current situation of players wanting their piece of the pie.

Parity amongst the already rich. It will be the death knell for the mid majors.

Please define parity....because from what I'm seeing, only 2 conferences are reaping the benefits of this so-called "parity" you refer to.

That's like saying there's parity amongst all buyers at an auction. The bigger budgets will separate themselves.

Just gonna say...parity is the destroyer of sports. It just smacks of communisim and not competition. I am very glad for the moment that college does not have parity even though the NIL has lopsided top recruiting toward just two conferences.

So you would rather just have the same 4-5 teams swapping the championship between them while the rest of college football stays on the outside looking in? Also, an even playing field where the best teams can rise to the top based on their own efforts and talent, as opposed to a few elite teams hoarding talent each year, is not communism lmao.

There is no such thing as an even playing field. Tha's an every child gets a trophy namby-pamby left logic idea.

Some call it parity but it is starting to look like a weaker, more watered down product across the landscape.

I'm not sure she is saying "parity" in terms of it being good for college football ..... maybe just the opposite as one person has correctly stated "parity for the rich ....SEC and BIG". I do not think the whole story has been written yet and quite frankly I can't predict the outcome except to say that I don't think it will be good. I can see a lot of lower tier team and conferences ultimately abandoning their football programs, especially as the scholarship players increase to 105. I think the story is still not written for fans who may not want to contribute to schools eher their players make more than they do.

Yep. Alot of BAD football being played this year.***

Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson are perfect examples of teams that are doomed to mediocrity in the current paradigm. Georgia just has more residual talent and money to keep the lights on for a few more seasons than Bama and Clemson. It is a billionaire boys club now and we ain't invited.

College teams have become semipro teams. Some will survive and some will not. At some point many colleges will drop football or it will become a club sport with no major playoffs. Fans will quickly lose interest in semipro teams because of not ties to schools and high salary. Good example is the Class A, AA baseball teams. I know no one who supports the BB team who currently plays out of Columbia.

That is meaningless.

There is no "semipro".

Next year, with revenue sharing, it's going to be professional, it's still going to be college sponsored, and I'll still hope that Clemson wins every game.

Why doesn't it matter that teams in the P2 will be getting upwards of $50 mil

I get what lady is trying to say - NIL and the portal should help create a spreading out of talent - however, they also seem to be trending towards an accumulation of the quality of talent to the richest teams.
