What happens the next time our offense gets stifled, for whatever reason. Are we back to Dabo meddling with play calls again?

He will continue to let Riley do his thing. The offense played not to lose against Georgia. The last two games have been attack, attack, attack. Definite difference between last year and this year. And I do not think you can contribute all of the improvement to player improvement. I have noticed one thing the past two games. My "favorite" play -- the sideways pass -- and my favorite "offense" -- the stand and stare at the sideline -- both have pretty much disappeared. The increase in tempo has made a big difference.

Tempo only works when you execute.

Don’t agree. The “favorite” plays were run ad nauseum because Cade and DJ before him could not execute anything else. Your observation is correct, but your analysis is not.

Come on Cobb. You know the rule that now allows teams to use communication to the QB is what makes the difference in play calling.

Yep, and I think that the UGA game and all the hype that come with it was to big for Cade in a first game of the season game!!!

Tempo has definitely been a factor as well as all the motion we have run the last 2 games. Cade has to be seeing the field much better but his confidence is probably the biggest factor imo. Go Tigers!!!!

Depends on if Dabo has his play sheets or not.

Like everything else, the truth is probably in the middle somewhere. I absolutely believe Dabo was more active in the play calling than most coaches Streeters last year.
It’s also hard to believe that Riley would take the Clemson job unless given full control of the offensive play calling. I’m sure his goal is to kill it here and turn his success here into a head coaching job at some mid major in the next few years , so why would he agree to let Dabo possibly derail that plan by interfering in his offense

And was forced to work with Dabo’s ex-player coaches - who had no coaching experience.

Get over yourself. Dabo is the boss and has earned the right to make whatever call he wants to make but a huge part of that is he knows when to step back.

He has stated he only interjects on decision type downs. People have to find something or someone to blame.

When things are going well, the players get all of the credit.
When thing aren't going so well, the coaches get the blame.
