Playing where they need you...

Jan 30, 2013, 7:00 PM

How do you feel about recruiting a player and him not wanting to play any other position but the one they feel they want to play? I have mixed feeling about this so I am wondering what the majority says?

I think where ever the team needs you, you should suck it up and play...If they see something more in you that you can excel in why not. But the coaches shouldn't tell a player he is set for a position and waits til they get on campus and switch it up.

I guess what brought this on is the QB from Florida ( or his father) saying he will not play anything but QB...Are you all in or not...?

If you're up front about it, the team needs come first

I agree with the sentiment that telling him he'll play QB then training him as WR in the spring is dumb.

But a player has the right to decline a team if he really wants one position. And if they don't need him there, there's probably another team that does.

Clemson

I don't think there is a hint of deception in Dabo.

I'd say our guys knew the score at Clemson from the gitgo.
