I've seen some minor league stadiums with netting behind both dugouts...better to be safe than sorry because it could be somebodies face or head that gets the brunt of impact from the ball

I think that it's the right thing to do. The lady that got hit a few nights ago was hit pretty hard. If you see the ball coming at you, you can throw up a hand, arm, duck or whatever to keep from being hit in the head. But if you're not paying close attention when a batter is swinging the bat, a foul ball can be on you before you have time to block from being hit. I think the extra netting is the right answer for the sake of safety!!!

At the NC State game, a girl was hit in the eye with a foul ball over at third base, it even appeared like it was in the same row and seat as the incident from this past Tuesday night.

Tuesday night two women were hit with the same foul ball. One on the shoulder the other in the head. The one hit in the head was really dazed and confused as can be expected. Thanks go to the person who responded right away when this person was hit. She was in her scrubs from work. She was sitting up the third base line, as soon as the person was hit, she went right straight to the lady who was hit and stayed with her the whole time. There was one female paramedic who responded and was looking after the lady who was hit in the shoulder.

The netting really needs to be extended on both sides of the field. On the first base side you have the bull pen balcony seats that are right above the dugout, and the player alumni terrace seating in front of the glass windows. These two places have risks of having a foul ball off of a right hand batter fly in there real quick. The player terrace is a place where there is a lot going on with people socializing about years past, it would be easy to not be paying attention and get struck by a foul ball.

I know some will say people need to pay attention at all times, I agree 100% that we all need to be alert while attending baseball games. DKS has signage everywhere about being aware of foul balls, it is displayed on the video board before the game. Even with the warnings the need for extending the netting is really needed and should be considered.

Praying all the individuals who were struck in the last week are ok. Those foul balls were hard shots into the crowd in both cases.

That would be great as a top priority…then Facilities could turn their attention to the leaky guttering hanging over section UD that make about a half dozen seats there unusable at times

I think it's a great idea.***

I noticed they had done this at Fluor Field. It's a good idea. It doesn't really change the view much.
