Friday night, hung around the house and cleaned up a little. Seems like we had some sort of plan go sideways but I can't even recall.
Saturday, to Shoeless for the Ales for ALS event. Back home for more chores, watched a real bummer of a football games.
Sunday, up early to go spend a little money in Asheville. The Moose cafe was open, but they don't have running water yet. Breakfast was still good. Went around the farmers market a bit then headed home. Ended the evening by trying to install a bidet. What should have been a very quick process turned into a two trips to Lowes and one to Home Depot nightmare. The shutoff valve is old and didn't quite get all of the flow stopped, but stopped enough that it looked off when I started taking stuff apart. Total mess. Then I find out that the supply line isn't as flexible as I thought and I just could not get it back in place. Efforts to do so resulted in stripped threads to the fill valve. Go get a new one of those and new supply line. Well the supply line wasn't didn't have the right nut on it so I had to double back. Lowe's didn't have any that would find and no sort of adapter. Luckily Home Depot had the right thing. It is now all put back together, except I broke one of the nuts off the toilet seat.

Watched the Tigers pull the suxor in the Valley on Sattidy. Drove to Sugar Mtn on Sunday for a couple of damage assessment days. Came out not too bad, a couple of siding boards need fixing and the driveway needs repair.
2/10 (3.8/19 on the RH Covids scale) with major deduction for up the middle running, poor defense and horrible special teams. Additions for a beautiful day in the mountains.

Low key Friday. Saturday, I took the boys up to the mountain compound to give wifeof a break. The weather was fantastic. We canoed, had a campfire, played games, ate hot dogs. It was great. They were so tired that the time change didn’t make a huge difference and they slept in.
I didn't watch a snap of cfb. I only saw our score the next day. My buddy who was at the game said the crowd was subdued, the team played flat, and refs were awful. Sunday we returned home. Made a Costco run, which normally puts me in a bad mood. Oh well, still a good weekend.
Go Tigers anyway.

Nothing on Friday.
Saturday prepared for our annual auction at the church. Monies usually go to the youth program. This year we sent most of the proceeds to hurricane relief. Raised around $20K. Got home in time to see the end of the first half. Poured a little Elijah Craig, took a shower. Watched 2 series of the 3rd and went to bed.
Sunday - After church had to get a chair the wife bought at the auction home. Then figure out where to put it. Then drove to Charlotte to take daughter back to school with the small dorm refrigerator the wife bought at the auction and schlep it up to her room. Then drive back..(4 hours round trip). Then poured another Elijah and went to bed.
Monday - Glad to be back in the office to rest.

My Mom came up from Aiken for my daughters birthday. I picked up Smoking Pig take-out for dinner. They left out some stuff and had to go back up there, but they threw in some nana pudd'n for the effort, so all was good.
Saturday...daughter-of whipped-up some pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. Got oil-changed (horry sheet it's expensive now) and got leaky tire looked at. Got the "can't be patched there" BS, so gotta get a 2nd opinion. Effing tires on my car are rotatable, so they wear out quickly and are eff'ing 'spensive.
Watched some afternoon football in peace once house was empty. Then watched our crap game. poot
Sunday...made breakfast sammies...then made some really good linguine with shrimp basil tomato cream sauce for lunch. Watched NFL and watched my fantasy team poop the bed due to poor coaching decisions made 5 min before kick-off. Did some chores. Watched some Yellowstone.
Total blah weekend

Friday halped a friend move from BS to G’ville
Saturday got some long over due yard work done, met goalltigers and headed to Tiger Town. We ate at Viva Chicken on Pelham - not bad especially for the price and rolled right into our parking spot.
Sunday usual with mom
Bright spot - dog sitting so had fun with the pup all weekend

Next door neighbor (Dawg fan but a nice guy) started talking out of his head, we thought it was a stroke, MRI revealed some spots on brain front and back - needs biopsy today or tomorrow whenever they can do it, but not looking good.

Friday - no idea.
Saturday picked up some BBQ, met Brother-of and we headed to tailgate. Pretty great spread and weather was super nice. Several college buddies came by, several of which I hadn't seen in 20+ years. Friend-of drove down from Charlotte with a guy who's here from Estonia working on a project. He wanted to see some local culture so we introduced him to tailgating and college football.
Great tailgate followed by assball. Packed up and got home late.
Sunday got up, cleaned up and started working on dining room renovation. Patched, caulked, and huffed paint fumes all afternoon and into the evening with a break to watch a little NFL. Cleaned up and crashed, house smells like kilz.
Don't really want to repeat.
RIP Henry.

Fri - Drop Pilot off at shop because need CV shafts replaced. No problem, right? So take Lexus to Sam's to put gas in it, because wife has been driving it and rarely, if ever, puts gas in an automobile. When I'm done I look down at left rear tire, and huh, pretty darn flat. Look closer and the sidewall is not totally blown out but a couple large cracks, about 4-5 inches long. No problem, will get Sam's to put a tire on it in the morning. Call son to pick me up and take me home.
Sat - Son takes me to Sam's, check in with tire center. "Don't have that size but can have one on Monday." Well, that doesn't work so go to take tire off and take it to my regular tire shop. Spare tire on that car is one of those under the car on a cable and you wind it down. Look under car and there is no spare, cable is broken off. So unbeknownst to me, I've been driving a car for a little over 4 years with no spare. Jack car up, get tire off, head to tire shop. Drop it off and go to Lowe's grocery to get a growler fill up since 1/2 off. Back to tire shop and pick up tire. Freaking tire is $200 these days, for a Uniroyal TigerPaw. Back to Sam's, put tire on car, lower it down to tighten lugs the rest of the way and "hmmmm, that doesn't look right." Top of tire is almost touching the bottom of the strut assembly spring. They had put on a size 65 tire instead of a 55. Take tire back off and to shop. Head to local's for a couple beers (much needed and desired at this point) and some wings. They get correct tire on, except they didn't have any Uniroyals. He put a Michelin on in it's place. FINALLY done with all the car bullshit, almost $1,000 later. Go downtown for some beers and watch the Tigers get their collective stools pushed in. Sing a couple karaoke songs for the hayull of it.
Sun - Must've been really tired because slept for about 12 hours. Run a bunch of errands. Go downtown with wife and kid for music bingo. Tied a guy in one game, but won the ro sham beaux to win the tiebreaker. About the only thing that went right for the weekend, won $10 whole dollars!!!
All in all, pretty shitty but I'm still here, so I got that going for me, which is nice. Did find an orange seltzer on tap at Lowe's that is incredible. It is made by a Charleston brewery, Lo Tide I think. Made with orange gatorade and it is delicious.

to show up that night. Been battling diverticulosis/itis and was going to try to get to the doctor today, but woke up with what appears to be an abcessed tooth, so I'm awaiting a call back from the dentist instead. Still, lots of seemingly mundane moments with family and pets and life in general that remind me how wonderful life really is.

after visitng son & familia in RV lot. Lazy Sat morn, arrived and tailgate set up by 1:30. Was up in Littlejohn for a liquid release and ran into a fren and Sammy Watkins. Got pic with him. Wish he was still snatching Fballs outa the air in the league.
Tenderloin sliders at tgate were awesome as well as all the other grub. Got mildly inebriated but that passed b4 gametime.
Wish Clemson would re-number the seating cause always people mistakenly in our seats when arriving.
The odd one way, even the other way and the O/UO stuff confuses many.
Oh well...couple of us were planning a road trip to PITT, but that got canned...

Took Friday to play golf on my birthday, and had some old friends come into town for it. Got drunk; left my nice sunglasses on the cart.
Saturday: Lotta football with friends and family. Had a big costume birthday party that night. The game sucked ### but I shrugged it off and had fun with my people.
Sunday: Brunch that came with an unwelcome shot of tequila from two friends who were also there and attended my party. Came back home and laid on a couch all day to nurse one ##### of a hangover.

Lost my Fantasy Football game yesterday by 0.22 points.
Went to LakePoint GA to watch grandkid play baseball. That was fun. Driving to and from through ATL was not fun. Came home to a driveway and yard full of leaves. And then a little “spinner” leaf landed in my bourbon glass. It was consumed and apparently not toxic.

Daughter got her boot off Thursday, participated in a UNCW Beach Volleyball Clinic on Friday, felt fine. Played in a tournament on Saturday, got 5th place but was knocked out by the eventual winner...who wins every tourney. One of the girls goes all over the country playing beach volleyball, kinda unfair. There are 3 stellar players out there in Daughter's age group and they usually take places 1 and 2 and everyone else fights for 3rd place and down. This was her final tournament for the year. Went and watched first half of Clemson game at Clemson Club Party, then went home. Didn't even watch 4th quarter.
Sunday was lazy day-ish. Went to CB State Park to walk dogs. Went to grocery store and spent LESS than I have in months. Complained to the ladies at the check-out that I must have forgotten alot. The truth is, though, that my wife wasn't shopping with me to add candles, soaps, name brand everything, etc. Buying groceries is depressing AF. Cooked dinner, daughter got back from 1st indoor volleyball practice and so that season has started.
Soccer is about to wind down for holidays but volleyball is picking up so we will spend the next few months taxiing girls back and forth to volleyball practice and the boys back and forth to soccer. YAAYYYY!

Fri - pizza. idk what else.
oh, remembered as I almsot hit send: buddy shot a deer in the hood ha. helped him clean up a little forky 4 pt. that zapped my energy.
coughed all night, couldn't sleep. drank half a bottle of bourboun throughout the night going shot + honey. couldn't get it to stop.
Sat - AM took youngest wimmee to Cost de Co. ate lunch. tried to rest up for a bit on da couch.
put out some ryegrass seed and rolled yard. that completely zapped me.
wife cooked some hellacious concoction of frozen food and masked it as a supper
Sun - repeat Fri night. no sleep. wife ran errands and I took kids down to the lake to splore and throw rocks in the water. again, bout zapped me.
rested up on couch before I went and had lunch / beers w/ my finance guy who was in town. we sat outside at a marina. said he didn't GAF, ain't no bish.
made my SW chicken soup in an attempt to blast out whatever in me for sundee supper. it might've worked. woke up again at 230ish AM, but then after another shot of bourbon and a dollop of honey, no mo coughin and got a solid 3-4 hours of sleep.
no gym. no seggs. feel like horseass. hot AF still.

Ate a ton of Halloween candy, then blitzkreiged myself sitting beside my front yard fire pit until 3 am talking to my new neighbor.
Finally woke up Saturday and went and met my other neighbors for lunch at the Griffon downtown. NOW I remember why I hate going downtown--Tourons. Tourons stopping at green traffic lights taking pictures. Tourons blocking the sidewalks taking influencer pictures. Tourons bumping into me at the restaurant, and not even acknowledging their fat interfering with me trying to eat.
Later went to see Jon Pardi at the Daniel Island stadium courtesy of a friend of mine. I can't say I'm a Jon Pardi fan, but it was outside and it was nice out and we had fun.
Sunday did absolutely nothing, sobered up, ate Halloween candy and beef stew all day. Never left my house. I'm not sure I walked outside. Started watching "Slow Horses" on Apple Tv.
Here I am again.

Friday - City at Charlotte FC, that's an L. Other L was that while I have plenty of friends that would go to a match with me, there's only 1 that will sometimes watch on TV with me, and he was busy. Watched alone while other MSynan volunteered at the final HS football game of the year
Saturday - Big L. Ticked me off that again we cannot physically compete with a lesser program. Still angry about this. L number 2 was only 14 showed for the Clemson Club watch party. C'mon man. L #3 was only 1 shot, and it was long after the game was decided that we got to 14 points
Was so mad after that I went to see live music, raging band called The Attack
Sunday - won 2 out of 3 fantasy football league matchups, but the other L just completed a losing weekend

For the record - using a Starlink Mini for streaming TV at a tailgate works very well. Used about 15GB of data for a whole day of streaming (11:30am - 6:30pm).
Saturday night - the atmosphere in DV was great at kickoff. Upper decks were full - plenty of positive energy in the stadium and then... Worst night of Clemson Football in Death Valley since I sat through that 2013 FSU debacle. It wasn't as bad as that 2013 game but was to a much less talented opponent.
This one is going to leave a permanent mark on Dabo's behind because as bad as the player's performed Saturday night - our coaching staff's performance was worse...
However, I'm well beyond the point where I let Clemson football drive me into the dumps for more than 10 minutes after a loss. Took me some time to get to this point but at the end of the day it was "meh - we played like dog poo and lost" but had a good time with family and friends...

Flew in Friday..
ventured out to the Esso Friday night.
Got up early Saturday, headed to Clemson, walked around a bit then headed to the Esso..
Was a fun time. Even saw 19B there..
Was a good weekend, with exception of the the game.
