My issue with the basketball game last night

Nov 29, 2012, 10:22 AM

Every article I read stated that there would be an entire game played. I checked on several different websites and they are said this. I was excited about this.

Today however, I have seen that many people have said that the Tiger basketball team only played one half. I was unable to watch the game due to a prior engagement, but I am curious as to what happened. Did Purdue have to take an early flight? Was there a curfew set for players to keep any more from getting arrested? It had to be something because this does not happen often.

I would have loved to see how we would have faired if we had been able to play an entire game against Purdue.

Any information on the reason would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They played much better in the second half than the first

So there go all of your theories. Purdue came out with an early lead and we were unable to cut into single digits until it was too late. The game wouldn't have been so bad if we could have made some 3-pointers.

So we did play a full game?

Who knew?!?!?

Obviously not you since you didn't even watch

Your sorry ### shouldn't be talking trash about our team if you can't even find the time to watch them play

I did miss the game

but have been following the team closely. I know that we have been a very consistent team in the early part of the season until the first half last night. I obviously know we played the whole game, but tried to add some humor into figuring out the reason for our loss of focus (or whatever happened). I also know that our opponents shooting percentage has been really low until last night. Did Jennings missing really have that much defensive and rebounding effect? Or was there some other reason that Purdue shot the lights out?

I didn't realize that you would take the comment so personally.

That Byrd guy came out on fire.

He couldn't miss a shot. You know someone is having a good day when they bank in a shot from the paw. He was averaging 10 points a game; he had 20 by halftime. It makes it difficult when one guy scores almost as many points as your entire team does in one half.

That makes me feel better

Thanks for a good answer
