Need Help, Please - Trying to Find a Hotel for Auburn Game

Some friends and I made a late decision to go to the game. We have tickets and now we need to book a hotel room for Saturday night. Everything right around the GA Dome is booked and I don't know what areas of Atlanta I should avoid. I assume we need something within walking distance to the Marta so we can hop on that to make our way to the stadium. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I always stay in Sandy Springs. Just find a hotel within walking distance of Marta and you will have it made. Lots to choose from. I am staying at the Crown Park I think. I usually stay at the new Hyatt and it is nice also. Really better than being in the inner city I think but everyone is different.

This was from another poster in a similar thread, but the suggestion is fantastic. There is a Courtyard and Super 8 within walking distance of the Decatur MARTA stop. Way more walkable than almost any other area with incredible bars & restaurants. That's where I'd stay, if I weren't local.

Georgian Terrace still has rooms. Right across from FOX theatre. Across Street from North Ave MARTA. Great Hotel. Awesome basement bar set up like an old speak easy
