Can't believe I am actually here. All advice, real or not accepted
Yesterday afternoon after bringing youngest home from orthodontist, a large bird (think hawk size but with much smaller beak) comes flying into my garage and slams into the back wall. Then, it's just laying there in the floor.
When we enter said garage, I put my self between daughter and bird and escort us in the house. Intimidated, the bird saunters back behind some boxes
Door is left open for bird to escape. Other MSynan comes home, she parks in said garage, bird still there, same position, hasn't moved. Door is left open all the way to bedtime, no change.
This morning, bird still there. Wife tells me to shoo said bird out. Daughter's laundry basket is near, so I put it on my head 'cause I can still see out, and grab a broom.
As I attempt to shoo bird out, it decides it is time to fly out on its own. BAM, right into wall. That's ok because it lands a foot from the open door and inches from FREEDOM! Now the bird decides it's going to fly again, but BAM, back into wall and this time plummets right into the open washing machine. Now I have a large bird in my washing machine that is neither smart nor healthy.
Ideas? Have already considered and decided not to burn the house down or run the bird through the spin cycle
