being able to get elite level rb's. i don't mind a pass first offense, but i sure as heck don't want to sling it 50 times a game, every week.

I think it's pretty obvious here that Scott is gonna get his opportunity, it's been said that he was learning under Morris for the last 3 years... I think he gets his shot and if it doesn't work then go another route plus they won't have to pay Scott as much as those other guys, more money to keep venables which is what we really can't lose

I agree..Scott gets a shot.***

Why hire a “proven” guy that will just use us as a stepping stone to get his next job in a couple year? The minute he steps on campus, the same “Coach X is leaving to go be the HC at Etc. Tech” type rumors like we had with Chad will start-up…You can’t build long term success when you’re changing coordinators every couple years.

In cases where things have been going well---like Clemson the last few years---I say it’s best to hire from within when possible because it helps maintain a sense of stability and continuity. Only when things are going bad, do you shake things up by bringing someone in from the outside.

Sure, the "proven" guy hire will make a bigger splash on ESPN, but sometimes it's best to be steady and boring.

Just like Morris was?***

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

Power O line & Rb's. Good passing game. Solid defense. NC***
