I’ve been a college football fan since I was 13 or 14. Specifically Clemson. I’m 63 now. My dad was a Citadel grad and my mom a SC grad. I went to many SC games as a youngster wearing my gamecock sweatshirt. But my uncle was a Clemson grad electrical engineering and we talked at length about Clemson. When I was 15 I went to Clemson tennis camp with coach Chuck Kresie. I fell in love with Clemson. Although I applied to Clemson we didn’t have the resources for me to go at the time so I joined the Navy.
Saying that I’ve been on Tigernet a long time. I have seen the best of Tigernet and the worst. I remember all of the old timers. Newbies come and go like flies. And A LOT of them have one thing in common. Early season syndrome.
This team is world beaters. This team will never win another game. And time and time again they are SO wrong.
Give it 6 or so games and see where these teams are. Let them play some teams that aren’t in their wheel house or that are. Then after mid season or so see if they are all in or all out. Teams flip a switch like an old girlfriend, you may get a different version on the next date. Good or bad. And I’m not just talking about Clemson, I’m talking college football in general.
That’s why they don’t play the national championship game on September 30th.
