I may change my mind after a few games, especially if Mafah shows improvement in blocking/pass catching

One game has made everyone think the dude couldn’t block. It was one play. In reality he was 3x the blocker Shipley was already. Hard to say if he has to get better in pass catching or not since we rarely used him for that.

RB room is just as poorly managed as the WR room

Mafah to me is a Danny Ford type back. Danny liked the bigger guys who could

rumble, but still had enough speed to do damage on longer runs. But, he did on occasion have the smaller scatback types, such as Terry Allen, as well. Mafah will be an interesting case this year, can he hold up to being the "Go to" guy, with the increased workload? My MajiK 8-Ball says "Signs Point to Yes".

Let's not count on IFS... Phil will teach the nrw guys all he can. When it's time, for another to carry the rock, they will perform to their best. Meanwhile, MAFAH will rumble thru some boys.
Go Tigers!

Spiller and Mafah are two entirely different style of RB's.
Mafah more closely resembles a Tracy Johnson or Kevin Mack.
I think Andre Ellington was a virtual clone of CJ but without elite speed. AE is an often overlooked back who is rarely include when we are listing the best backs to come through Clemson

Did you read the article? What Spiller was comparing was their journeys through the first 3 years of their careers at Clemson and thee roles they play during their senior season. Had nothing to do with their running styles.

Ah, not to disparage Ship who gave his all and made a huge impact on the team and its success during his time BUT I don't believe there was ever any comparison between him and CJ - sorry but there was NOTHING similar between the two - you must have missed the days of CJ...
