And makes a change in the direction of the basketball program, would he wait until after the final four to fire and hire?

The final four also doubles as the basketball coaches association meeting. So, its better to go there with a vacancy.
Unfortunately CBB is here for another year. Looks like its another year of hoping we get into the CBI

in football if we had prematurely made a change after the Belk Bowl loss years ago? Brownell's task is inherently a much more difficult task than what Dabo and M.Lee face.

You could pay tnetter 50000 and is coach from home. We probably won't make the tournament, but we would save more than usuing Geico. We would have worldwide recruiting and we would surely give us everything we want. Are there no good bb players that grow up Clemson fans.,? Surely there are some.
Why do cell phones work on ever as even the ones you are not trying to see, but not for everyhing else.

When is the last time he has had a returning leading scorer? Hopefully next year. Clemson improved during the first 2 months of the season. That's the mark of a good coach. The ACC is a very tough league. Clemson would be in the NCAA tournament if we were in the $EC. We would have beaten USuC in February ---- twice. And Missouri twice. That said, I am very happy playing in the ACC in all sports. Keep Brad.
For those who want to replace him, provide a viable name. BUT it better be a GREAT name, because Brad Brownell knows basketball.

NAT I join you in being highly disappointed with Tiger BB in many ways, however CBB is here thru next season because he actually won enough ACC games! His team started and ended poorly and he knows it. He deserves a season in the renovated LJC for team play and recruiting. Fans, donors and the admin. have made their expectations very clear. Having less buyout next year means he is gone without a tourney bid and CBB knows this.
Quite beating the "dead horse" otherwise!
Go Tigers!

This year isnt done yet.
Also he is up by 8 at half so guess what little buddy you might not be able to make that statement about no NCAA T wins for much longer.
So since your only requirement in a sweet 16 you think Darrin Horn is a good coach? Maybe we should go after him!!!

Its 3 and after this year finishes he would have coached a full 3 years.
Not 2 like he has coached now.
You seem to be closing the door on this season before it is done.
He cant win a NCAA T game in his 3rd season when his game isnt even done yet.
So Darrin Horn is a good coach huh?
Lets bring him in he fits with the rest of your idiotic choices?
How much longer does the guy need to be a Yale before it is his fault?

Stanford has ZERO I repeat ZERO losing seasons since 1993. Dawkins immediately led them to 2.
Took over a program that finished ranked 10th in the AP in 2008. Those are the facts.

The reason he's not going anywhere is bc the team is supposed to be better
Mar 18, 2016, 12:35 PM

Talent wise next year, plus he was involuntarily displaced and has to spend a season at a different location. It wouldn't be fair to push him out the door before he gets to see the highest peak of his program. So DRad will not do that without getting a really bad reputation among other coaches.

I don't think so. Money always talks. A good coach can win their fair share of games at Clemson. Also they should make a tournament. You have to be really really bad not to make any tournament. I mean 64? in ncaa and what 32? in nit. Give me a break. That is almost like every player getting a trophy...except us.

Football is near the pinacle. Baseball is on the rise. Basketball was good this year, but will be better next year and the year after. Soccer is good. Golf is good. And I think we kick #### in riflery!!!!!

Basketball was good this year? Huh? Are you talking about Clemson? Because I was under the impression that Clemson didn't even make a post season tournament. By most standards, thats not a good year.

In what way was basketball good this year?
We were mediocre at best.
Good teams make the NIT.
Great teams make the Dance.
We were not good.
