5,000 tickets...are you friggin' kidding me !?!?!?

Clemson was allocated a mere 5,000 tickets for the ACCCG !?!?!
Bank of America Stadium seats 73,000. Each of the participating schools should be getting a minimum of 20,000 tickets.
The league needs to seriously consider revisiting its relationship with Bank of America Stadium.

Really? Would you rather drive 10 hrs to Miami? Every venue wants to make money. After all it is a conference championship?

Have they won yet? I was under the impression they need two more conference wins?

where the Dome is split 50/50 and the atmosphere is amazing. Giving each team 5,000 tickets is ridiculous. Corporations getting all the tickets and selling them on stubhub. Stubhub has 200-250 tickets per section for sale equaling thousands and thousands of tickets for sale at $20-$40 over face value. If Clemson fans want to go going to have to buy off stubhub.

but according to the email from the ticket office Clemson's original allocation was 5,500. We then we got 6,000 more and will continue to acquire more as other schools give up their allotments.
So to help with the math, we have 11,500 and counting.

Did every ACC school not get 5,000 to start?

All 14 of them? That's what it sounds like to me. 14 times 5,000 is 70,000. As schools are eliminated from contention, they give up their allotment?

could buy tickets up to this past Sat night. NOBODY is stupid enough to think Syracuse, Pitt, BC etc fans would need 5k tickets to any game not involving them.

That's why I hate fhis arrangement between Charlotte and the ACC. Swofford must be getting a kickback. Tampa was a really nice host city, Jacksonville would be an awesome host city.

Charlotte is in the middle of the ACC footprint and is a much better host city. Look at the tickets sold for our championship game in Florida against GT vs. the sellout in Charlotte for the win over VT. Charlotte is the best place for CLEMSON. We will have a home crowd advantage on December 5 at Bank of America Stadium.

The tickets were available in July. You could have purchased earlier and sold them on secondary market if you didn't want them.

I'm glad the game is in Charlotte but tickets sales have been generally poor. Schools have to buy the tickets they are allocated. This would have generally been a loss in previous years. I've never paid more than half face value for an ACC championship game until this year. I bought Club seats for Clemson /Va Tech two days before the game for half price. I only bought in advance for this one because I'm taking a large group. You don't want Clemson getting stuck with $150-$200 tickets they can't sell when some sh*t-bird team wins the other division and resale tickets drop to pennies on the dollar. They couldn't giveaway tickets to the 2012 FSU/GT game or 2013 FSU/Duke game.

You don't want the school saddled with more at face value. I personally think they should be open market from the get-go, especially with the coastal situation. Selling a football game when b-ball is in full swing, the holidays, etc is gonna be rough with that baby blue crowd.
